Weather and its causes after cold and warm front crossing the border

The weather after the cold and warm front crossing and its causes;

The cold front was controlled by the warm air mass before crossing the border, with low air pressure, high temperature and clear weather; When crossing the border, the air pressure rises and the temperature drops, causing rainy weather and heavy rain; After crossing the border, the temperature continued to drop, the air pressure increased and the weather turned fine.

The warm front is controlled by cold air mass before crossing the border, with high air pressure, low temperature and clear weather; When crossing the border, the temperature rises and the air pressure decreases, forming rainy weather; After crossing the border, the temperature increased, the air pressure decreased and the weather turned fine.

Cold front characteristics

A cold front with fast moving speed and steep slope (1/40- 1/80). The cold air behind the front moves much faster than the warm air mass, affecting the warm air mass and forcing it to rise strongly. At the top floor, because the moving speed of warm air mass is faster than that of cold air, warm air slides down the front;

Because this front is located behind the trough or near the trough line, the rising motion near the front and the sinking motion on the high-altitude front area are strengthened. In summer, strong cumulonimbus clouds usually appear near the ground front of this cold front, and convective unstable weather such as thunderstorm, hail and squall line appears.

At the top, there are often no clouds. Therefore, the fast-moving cold front cloud system presents a long and narrow accumulation cloud belt arranged along the front line. The fast-moving cold front lasts for a short time, and this cold front weather mostly occurs in winter and spring in northern China.
