Basic introduction

The 6 14III marine comprehensive survey ship was modified on the basis of the 6 14II marine hydrometeorological ship. The design modification was undertaken by Room 3, Institute 708, and the construction drawing design modification was completed in February 1970. At that time, the State Oceanic Administration planned to build two 6 14II models in Jiangnan Shipyard and Guangzhou Shipyard respectively, and then decided to cancel the task of building 6 14II models in Jiangnan Shipyard and build two 614II models instead.

When the revised design was completed, the Sixth Engine Department decided to hand over the 6 14III ship to Wuhu Shipyard for construction. Wuhu Shipyard was put into production in June 197 1 and launched on April 20th 1972. /kloc-0 conducted mooring test on September 9, 1973, and/kloc-0 finally completed the Shanghai-Qingdao navigation test on September 26, 1974, and delivered it to Beihai Branch of State Oceanic Administration for use, named Xiang Yanghong 07 and Xiang Yanghong 08.
