Where is Lincang in Yunnan?
Lincang is a prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of Yunnan Province, located in the southwest of Yunnan, bordering Pu 'er in the east, Dali in the north, Baoshan in the west and Myanmar in the southwest. It is located between Lancang River and Nujiang River, so it is named because it is close to Lancang River. It is a land shortcut from Kunming to Yangon, Myanmar, with three state-level open ports, 19 trade passages, 13 border trade points and five highways connecting Myanmar.
Lincang, located in the south extension of Nvshan Mountain in Hengduan Mountain System, belongs to the longitudinal valley area of western Yunnan, with subtropical low-latitude plateau mountain monsoon climate and abundant water resources.
