Located in the northeast of Yunnan Province, southwest of Zhaotong City, on the north bank of Niulan River. The ground spans 26 degrees 59 minutes to 27 degrees 32 minutes north latitude and 103 degrees 09 minutes to 103 degrees 40 minutes east longitude. It borders Zhaotong City in the northeast, Weining Yi, Hui and Miao Autonomous County in Guizhou Province in the southeast, and Huize and Qiaojia counties in the south and west across Niulan River.
