When do ants move?

Usually, as long as it doesn't rain, you can see ants coming out for food.

In autumn, due to the lower temperature, the activities of ants decrease. In the morning and at night, it is rare to see ants go out. Moreover, due to the lower temperature, the activity speed of ants will also decrease and become slower than before.

Summer is the peak of ant reproduction, and the number of larvae can reach hundreds of thousands. They urged worker ants to go out and look for food, while adult worker ants and queens seldom eat.

In winter, the number of larvae in ant nests will drop sharply, even to zero, and because the temperature is too low, the activity of worker ants is greatly reduced, so they eat little.

Ants generally nest underground, and the scale of underground nests is very large. There are good drainage and ventilation measures. General worker ants are responsible for nesting. The entrance and exit are mostly a small arched mound with a hole in the middle like a volcano.

Secondly, there are ventilated holes, and each room in the nest has a clear classification. Warm and moist soil is their favorite. They usually live in arid areas, but it is little known that they can barely survive in water for two weeks.
