1. There should be a direct train from Xiangtan Road to Hengshan. If not, you can choose to take the bus to Hengyang first, and then transfer to the minibus to Nanyue at the same station, which is very convenient. There are no cars that go directly to the foot of the mountain (unless you are with a group), all cars will stop at a bus station near Nanyue Archway. After getting off the bus, you can take a sightseeing bus to the foot of the mountain (actually it’s not too far to walk). In short: take the bus to Hengyang - take the minibus to Nanyue - take the sightseeing bus to the foot of the mountain.

3. Be sure to bring a thick cotton-padded jacket when you go hiking. It is very cold on the mountain, so be careful not to catch a cold.
