He has published more than 500 papers in major core academic journals at home and abroad, including more than 20 international SCI papers/KLOC-0. Won provincial and ministerial science and technology awards 12, including 3 first prizes of science and technology awards of the Ministry of Education and 2 natural science awards. Innovative and internationally influential research results have been achieved in the fields of mesoscale weather, boundary layer meteorology, atmospheric circulation and monsoon, short-term climate variability and prediction, ocean-atmosphere interaction, climate change and numerical simulation, atmospheric physics and atmospheric environment, and atmospheric exploration. It has formed a strong and active academic atmosphere, carried out extensive academic exchanges and cooperation at home and abroad, and established close exchanges and cooperation with many universities and scientific research institutions at home and abroad through cooperative research, sending overseas students for further study, receiving overseas students, and jointly cultivating graduate students.
