Synchronous weather ratio

It has been more than 4 billion years since the birth of the earth. At the beginning, the surface of the earth was an "ocean" of magma, and the temperature was very high, which was simply "purgatory". This environment is not suitable for the survival of life. Later, with the continuous improvement of the earth's environment, the temperature continued to drop, and finally the magma on the earth's surface solidified to form a hard surface. Then the earliest life appeared on the earth. In the billions of years after the emergence of life, the environment of the earth is unstable, sometimes there will be an ice age, and sometimes the temperature of the earth may be higher. For example, when some super volcanoes erupt, they will release a lot of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere, making the global greenhouse effect obvious and the temperature relatively high, but this process is generally slow. Moreover, with the change of the earth's environment, life on the earth will also change, and may even be eliminated with the change of the environment. So there have been many mass extinctions on the earth in history.

In the past, the environmental changes of the earth were mainly caused by the volcanic eruption inside the earth or the impact of asteroids on the earth, but with the entry of human beings into civilized society, the development of our society has changed the earth to a great extent. For example, we have destroyed the earth's environment, causing some wild animals to be displaced because of the destruction of their habitats, and eventually face the risk of extinction. For example, in the process of developing and utilizing the earth's fossil fuels, we release a lot of greenhouse gases such as methane and carbon dioxide, which leads to the trend of global warming, and the average temperature of the earth increases year by year. With the continuous warming of the earth's climate, many problems have emerged, and some phenomena even make scientists feel unusual.

Although the earth is a livable planet, the average surface temperature is about 15, but the temperature in different parts of the earth is different. For example, the sunshine near the equator is stronger, the temperature is naturally higher, and the temperature in some desert areas is also higher. The temperature in those alpine plateaus and the polar regions of the earth is very low, especially in the polar regions, which are in a state of ice and snow all the year round. There are thousands of meters thick ice sheets in Antarctica and large areas of frozen soil in the Arctic. However, with the continuous warming of the earth, the temperature in polar regions is rising, and even rare high temperature weather appears many times, which has to make people think deeply.

During this period, many meteorologists observed the temperature data of the North and South Poles, and found that some areas of the North and South Poles have recently experienced some extremely hot weather, and the temperature in some areas is even 3-40 degrees higher than the normal temperature. In March 2022, the temperature of Concordia Antarctic research station was-1 1.5. Although the temperature of-10 degrees Celsius may be relatively low compared with the equator of the earth, it is a cold Antarctic region. Compared with the same period last year, this temperature is still relatively high, hitting a record high, almost 40% higher than the average level of the same period last year. It can be seen from this value that the rare high temperature in the Antarctic region, which has created a historical record, is quite amazing.

Etienne Kapikian, a meteorologist at the French Meteorological Agency, said that under normal circumstances, when the summer in the southern hemisphere is coming to an end, the temperature in the Antarctic will continue to drop, and the temperature will be below zero. However, in March this year, the Dumont-Douville base in Antarctica unexpectedly experienced a rare 4.9-magnitude high temperature. On March/8, 2022, Matthew Lazzara, a meteorologist at the University of Wisconsin, USA, measured the temperature in the C-II region of the east pole as-10. In contrast, the average temperature in this area was as low as -43 in the same period last year, which means that the temperature in this area has increased by 33% compared with the same period last year. When this happens, scientists call it "absolutely unusual", which is worrying.

It's late summer in the southern hemisphere. At this time, the temperature in the southern hemisphere is higher than that in the northern hemisphere, but the temperature measured in some parts of the north and south poles has set a historical record, even 30-40 degrees higher than the same period last year. What happened to the earth?

Judging from the situation of the earth in recent years, it is not uncommon to see record high temperature weather in the North and South Poles. Last year, the highest temperature measured in some parts of the Arctic reached 38, which scientists called "once in 80,000 years". Although some scientists think that "once in 80,000 years" is a bit exaggerated, we can see how rare the high temperature of 38 degrees in the Arctic is. One of the reasons for the frequent occurrence of rare high temperatures in the North and South Poles is climate warming, and the main reason for climate warming is that we humans emit a lot of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere, which eventually warms the earth. With the continuous warming of the earth, various problems have emerged, such as melting glaciers, rare droughts, rare high temperatures, rare floods and so on.

Many people may think that sea level rise and other issues are far away from us, but according to the data held by scientists, there are fewer and fewer glaciers on the earth. For example, Arctic sea ice (including some of the oldest ice) is thinning and disappearing at an alarming rate. In the past 20 years, the Arctic Ocean has lost about one third of its winter sea ice. For this discovery, some scientists even warned that the Arctic Ocean may be completely ice-free in summer as early as 2035.

Now it's not just the Arctic that has this problem. Many icebergs in the Antarctic have collapsed, fallen into the sea and disappeared. With the melting of these glaciers, there are not only the disappearance of glaciers and the rise of sea level, but also many problems behind them. For example, a large amount of carbon materials are buried in the permafrost of the Arctic. With the melting of frozen soil, these carbon materials buried for hundreds of years, thousands of years, tens of thousands of years or even longer will be exposed to the natural environment, and once these carbon materials encounter drought, high temperature, lightning and other weather, they may burn. There have been many wildfires raging in the Arctic before. Because the Arctic is very remote, once wildfires are raging in these areas, it is difficult to put them out. Wildfires raging in the Arctic will further accelerate the melting of these permafrost layers, exposing more and more carbon materials and burning more violently.

Therefore, it is really important for human beings to slow down the global warming trend. Once we don't solve this problem, the temperature of the earth may really get out of control in the future, the livable earth environment may become as bad as Mars or Venus, and human civilization may end.

For many years, scientists have been studying how to solve the problem of climate warming, including afforestation, vigorously developing clean energy and reducing dependence on fossil fuels. Although the trend of climate warming has not been alleviated in a short time, as we all continue to actively participate in protecting the earth, the home of the earth will become more and more beautiful.
