How thunder and lightning are formed! ~~

Thunder is a majestic and somewhat intimidating electrical discharge accompanied by lightning and thunder. The conditions for generating thunder and lightning are accumulation and polarization in thunder clouds.

According to different terrain and meteorological conditions, lightning can generally be divided into three categories: thermal lightning, front lightning (heat front lightning and cold front lightning), and terrain lightning.

Water vapor in the atmosphere is the internal cause of the formation of thunderclouds; the formation of thunderclouds is also related to the natural terrain and meteorological conditions.

Thermal lightning is a type of lightning that often occurs in the afternoon in summer, often accompanied by heavy rain or hail. Thermal lightning forms quickly and does not last long, 1 to 2 hours; the length of the minefield does not exceed 200 to 300km, and the width does not exceed dozens of kilometers. The following conditions must be met for the formation of thermal lightning.

The air is very humid and the water vapor in the air is nearly saturated, which is a necessary factor for the formation of thermal lightning.

On a sunny summer day, the sun is shining brightly, and the ground is exposed to the sun for a long time. The temperature of the moist air near the ground increases rapidly, making people feel stuffy. This is a necessary condition for the formation of thermal thunder and lightning.

No or light wind causes uneven air humidity and temperature. The reason for no wind or light wind may be that the air flow here does not change much, or it may be due to the terrain (such as a mountain basin).
