Turn on the air conditioner to sleep in the car at night to meet the following three conditions:

1. You can't sleep in a relatively sealed or unventilated place, such as a single-room closed garage or an indoor parking lot with relatively narrow space and unventilated air, because the engine is working when the car is idling and the exhaust gas is constantly discharged. The main components of automobile exhaust are carbon monoxide and nitrogen oxides, which are toxic gases.

If in a closed space, toxic waste gas can enter the car, which will lead to carbon monoxide poisoning and endanger life. It doesn't matter in the open field. Of course, if your car is a pure electric car, you don't have to worry about the problem of sealed space. Pure electric vehicles have no exhaust gas. If you don't turn on the air conditioner and keep the car running, you can sleep in the car.

2. Air conditioning suggests outdoor circulation mode, because the car is a closed small space, and long-term circulation will make the air inside the car turbid, so people need to breathe, inhale oxygen and exhale carbon dioxide. After a long time, the car is full of carbon dioxide, which is not good for your health. Outdoor circulation allows fresh air to enter the car continuously, although it will consume a little more fuel, but it is better for your identity.

3. The glass on the window can be slit, and at the same time, there should be mosquito-proof screens. This is for ventilation, just like the second condition. Although the external circulation is turned on, the car itself is a relatively closed space, and a crack in the window is conducive to sleep and breathing.

Although you can do this, it is not recommended to sleep in the car with the air conditioner on, mainly for the following reasons:

1, sleeping in the car is very tiring.

This kind of fatigue is the kind of backache. Occasionally, it is very exciting. If it is too much, it will be very uncomfortable. The space of the car is small, and many vehicles have no room to sleep. For example, if you want to sleep in a car, you have to modify it and buy a car inflatable bed.

Even so, when sleeping in the car, because of the small space, hands and feet will not be able to straighten, and you need to bend over to sleep, so you will have backache and bad rest after sleeping all night. It doesn't matter unless you are a bed car. Many people in go on road trip travel around in sleeping cars. Sleeping in a sleeping car is just like at home, with a bed and a lot of space.

Except sleeping in the car, other cars will be tired when sleeping in the car. Even if it is an SUV, it will be uncomfortable to sleep for a few more days. Of course, this discomfort is just a feeling. If you don't care about low back pain, you can sleep.

It is not safe to sleep in the car.

Insecurity here refers to two aspects. First, there is a risk of carbon monoxide poisoning when sleeping with the air conditioner on, especially when the air is not circulating, even outdoors. It can't be said that there is no danger at all, which is related to the performance, location and air circulation of your vehicle.

3, the cost of sleeping in the car with air conditioning on at night is not low.

How much gasoline does it take to sleep with the air conditioner on all night? We can calculate an account. Generally, the engine speed is 700~ 1000 rpm when the car is idling, about 700 rpm when the air conditioner is not turned on, and about 1000 rpm when the air conditioner is turned on.

Taking a car with a displacement of 1.5 as an example, there is a formula for calculating the fuel consumption of the car at idle speed, which is to multiply the engine speed by the engine displacement and then multiply it by the coefficient of 0.7~ 1.0. If the air conditioner is not turned on, it is calculated as 0.7, and if the air conditioner is turned on, it is calculated as 1.0.

According to this formula, the hourly fuel consumption of a car with a displacement of 1.5 is 0.735 liter without air conditioning and 1.5 liter with air conditioning. Because idling turbocharging is not started, the calculation method is the same whether the engine is turbocharged or not. For a 2.0-displacement car, the fuel consumption per hour is 0.98 liters without air conditioning and 2 liters with air conditioning.

If one night 10 hour is calculated, the fuel consumption of a car with a displacement of 1.5 is 15 liter, and the oil price is 105 yuan. The fuel consumption of a 2.0-displacement car with air conditioning on is 20 liters per night, and the oil price is 140 yuan.

Just look at the oil price of turning on the air conditioner and sleeping for one night. 1.5 displacement 105 yuan, 2.0 displacement 140 yuan. This cost is already very high. If the car runs out of gas in an inconvenient place, where to refuel? In addition, 100 yuan, you said to stay in a smaller hotel or homestay and sleep comfortably in a bed. Doesn't he smell good?
