Is Jiangsu south or north?

Most of Jiangsu is in the south and a small part is in the north. Most of Suqian, northern Huai 'an, northern Yancheng, Xuzhou and Lianyungang are in the north; South-central Yancheng, south of Huai 'an, Yangzhou, Taizhou, Nantong and southern Jiangsu are in the south.

The dividing line between north and south is the Qinling Huaihe River Line, which just passes through Jiangsu Province. Although the main stream of Huaihe River has been injected into the Yangtze River through Hongze Lake-Three Rivers, the main irrigation canal in northern Jiangsu continues to serve as the north-south boundary. Therefore, most areas of Suqian, northern Huai 'an, northern Yancheng, Xuzhou and Lianyungang in the north of Hongze Lake-Subei irrigation main canal can be said to be the north; South-central Yancheng, south of Huai 'an, Yangzhou, Taizhou, Nantong and southern Jiangsu are in the south.
