What is the cause of heatstroke?

Heatstroke often occurs in hot season. Heatstroke is not only related to temperature, but also to humidity, wind speed, labor intensity, exposure time in high temperature environment, physical strength, nutritional status, health status and other factors. The inducing factors are complicated, but high temperature is still the most important.

Usually, in order to keep the human body at a constant temperature, the residual heat generated by metabolism in the body must be discharged from the body through conduction, convection, radiation and other forms, so that the body temperature can reach a balance with the external temperature. If the temperature rises, conduction and radiation heat dissipation will decrease, and sweat evaporation heat dissipation will gradually increase. When the temperature is 35-39℃, two-thirds of the body's residual heat will be evaporated by sweat. If the relative humidity in the environment is high, it is difficult to excrete sweat, and the human body temperature regulation system cannot complete the regulation function. At this time, people will get heatstroke.
