Historical legends of Beigao Town

When Ming Zhengdejun visited Wuhou Mountain, he went down to a village from the northern foot. On this day, the weather was hot, and Zheng Dejun was tired and hungry all the way. He saw a well here, so he drank water to quench his thirst. He thought well water was cool, sweet and delicious, so he named it "Fukui" with great interest. Later, the villagers named the village "Fukui". Around the end of Ming Dynasty and the beginning of Qing Dynasty, people from all directions came to Fukui to buy and sell goods, gradually forming a small market.

Later, Fukui Market unconsciously moved to the vicinity of Kevin Academy (built in Jiaqing 15) at the foot of Kunlun Mountain in the West Forty Miles. There is a Bangzhi tree in front of the academy, which is lush all year round with leaves and no flowers. It is said that leaves can cure intestinal diseases. The fair that comes from the shoulder is next to Bangzhi Tree, and the business is booming. Over time, people set up arbor around, and then put up straw or reed shed, which became a small street called "street shop", and the shops there were also called "street shop" (Putian dialect is homophonic with "shoulder shop"). Golden shield and yellow account for one fifth. During the reign of Emperor Qianlong in Qing Dynasty, Huang Guosui, the 18th grandson of Fu Huang, a master of Golden Shield in Huangshi, Putian, moved to a street shop in Happiness, and his descendants lived in Binjiang and Feng Ting Zhu Li.
