Chengdu impression
The weather in Chengdu is changeable. Under the direct sunlight, it will suddenly rain without warning. It's especially cold when it rains, and there are few strong winds, usually breezes. My first impression of Chengdu is that it is particularly clean, dotted with trees and flowers everywhere, and the urban landscape is rich in colors. I feel that there are exquisite works of art everywhere. There are various architectural shapes with their own characteristics. The open balcony and sunshade facilities highlight the facade of the building, and the open foyer connects the outdoor landscape. Plants are scattered in the hall, blending in with nature. Unlike Shanxi, Shanxi should give full consideration to the use of sunlight and avoid the dominant wind direction. The hall is also closed to prevent cold air from entering, while Chengdu should use the dominant wind direction to reduce the heat in the building. It is precisely because of the randomness of buildings that the direction of urban roads is more random and irregular. In many places, a big intersection has to go through four or more roads. The roads different from Taiyuan are mostly straight in the south and straight in the north, so it is easy to argue about the direction. It's hard to tell the direction in Chengdu, especially easy to turn. Because of the uncertainty of reference objects, the sun can't be seen on cloudy days. On the way back, I asked several people how to tell the direction, and most of their answers were that they didn't need to tell, as long as they could find it.
My second brother's house is not far from Gui Hu. We went there and entered Gui Hu, a private garden in Yang Shen. There are many kinds of green plants in the garden, most of which are indoor potted plants in the north. The gardening environment is so beautiful that I can't bear to leave. I really want to record the scene by sketching slowly. One is beauty, and the other is cool. Every place has many beautiful elements, which makes people memorable. The gardening of Changjia Manor in Shanxi is good, but it feels a lot monotonous compared with Chengdu.
In many people's minds, Chengdu is the most leisure city in China, with teahouses everywhere. If that's the case, people chat with fans under the parasols on the roadside and listen to soothing music, which really makes people feel relaxed. In addition, it is often seen that someone is carrying a tool kit on one shoulder and holding something that can make a special sound (the locals are familiar with the sound signal of this contracting business), walking in the street or in the park to find customers and dig people's ears, or in the teahouse, 20 yuan is alone, the guests are lying on the couch with their eyes closed, and the masters are holding small spotlights on their heads and working hard with tools. I will like it very much! The other is shampoo (with massage), which is a common practice for them. My second sister-in-law told me that almost everyone in this place washes their hair, and her children used to do the same, but under her influence, the children choose to wash their hair at home instead of going out to spend money. Most people play cards in their spare time except those with strong work and self-control. After sitting for an afternoon, Sichuan Mahjong is as famous as a teahouse. They don't even go shopping and have no other hobbies. Older women are diligent and energetic, and many of them are busy doing small businesses in the market.
Sichuanese are good at eating and cooking. They don't save money. If they have money, they will choose to eat well, followed by playing cards. Mainly spicy food. Hot pot restaurants and string shops are everywhere in the street. Pepper is also a very common dish. There is thick red oil floating in the hot pot. Spicy is the most important feature that we can't enjoy. This is also related to their humid climate conditions. We must eat pepper to balance it. The local Sichuan pepper and Zanthoxylum bungeanum are famous, so people who go there should buy some to take back. The locals say that the most unacceptable thing is the sour taste, Shanxi vinegar, and my taste buds can't challenge the hemp taste there.
Chengdu's wedding customs, except at home, mostly choose restaurants, convenient tea rooms and chess rooms. The groom and the bride arrive at the hotel after getting married in the morning, and the bride and groom greet the guests together. The guests all give their blessings in the form of red envelopes, which have their own names or are not marked. After the newlyweds meet, invite guests to the hotel's teahouse for tea, wait for the wedding banquet at noon, have lunch after the wedding at noon, and then go to the teahouse or chess room for entertainment in the afternoon after dinner (everyone in Sichuan has to drink tea and play chess and cards when they get married). Until dinner begins, dinner is simpler than lunch, and the number of people does not exceed noon. After dinner, the guests said goodbye one after another, and the whole wedding was over.
If you want to know about Chengdu, you must go to Kuanzhai Lane, where the ancient culture and traditional snacks of the city are preserved, which is more authentic and tasty than Liuxiang in Taiyuan. As soon as I entered there, there was a spicy smell, and my second brother could tell whether the taste was authentic or not. There, we saw close-up performances such as face changing, cooking show and local gadgets. I think the most beautiful is the environment. There are different forms of green plants, purple flowers and climbing plants all over the wall, with rich and harmonious colors, antique architectural style, neat and clean, and the alley is crowded with tourists from all over the world, which is lively and delicious.
We were going to Mount Emei, but we didn't want to make a detour because of the navigation error, so we went directly to Dujiangyan, which is known as "Visiting Dujiangyan and asking Qingcheng Mountain". Dujiangyan project is the crystallization of human wisdom, and the human landscape is also beautiful. I won't make a detailed record here, because we didn't know about Qingcheng Mountain because of religious factors, and we didn't go because it was too late.
My sister-in-law is from Zhongjiang, Sichuan, and my younger brother is the heir of Jiang Tan Jia's ingenious handmade hollow noodles in CCTV's Fingertips Making Money. So my second brother's family is also in this business. My second brother sees more things in the street. He told me that Chengdu people don't run red lights, people are very orderly, and cars are bound to make people. In the event of a traffic accident, it is very troublesome to entangle. People never litter, and they can't find cigarette butts in the street. The streets are clean and free of dust. On the road, strangers often take the initiative to remind others to stand on the roadside stones, which is more dangerous, or remind others what to do. I feel that people's overall quality is higher. However, in railway stations or other public places, it is a common phenomenon that people inadvertently take away their bags or other items. It seems that there are many thieves.
We always have questions. People in Chengdu have so much time for entertainment. In today's fast pace, how to coordinate time and economic issues? The second brother stayed in Chengdu for many years and always wanted to know why, but they didn't keep frugality with the second sister-in-law according to local habits.
After I came back, I talked a lot with people on the train and solved some of my questions. (The problem only represents the phenomenon of most people. After living in Chengdu for many years, they said: We don't save money. When we die, money belongs to us. Otherwise, who will we leave it to? Eat well and be worthy of yourself before playing cards. Everything else is more casual. We don't fly. Most people who fly are young people, so we have time for entertainment. Most people around my car are going back to their hometown in Shanxi, and many of them are going to Shuozhou. Many of them are children who stay in Chengdu after going to school and don't want to come back. Parents and relatives go to see the children and help them, but they really want to go back because they are not used to it. Another veteran went back to Shanxi to visit relatives. They can't accept the lifestyle in Shanxi, including eating habits. Sister-in-law thinks that my living habits and thinking are different from hers. She also says that Shanxi people are easy to dig, but I don't want to spend more time on eating, so I am more casual and easy to make do. I think we are often parents who love children and save money for the next generation. In order to cultivate the next generation, there are also essential differences in diet. And this, with everyone's efforts and limited resources, can only be achieved through thrift. What happened to them? I still haven't figured it out ~ ~ ~ Is it true that if there is wine today, I will get drunk tomorrow? How about tomorrow? After coming back, the third brother told me that people in many places are reluctant to let their children go to Chengdu, because people there are relaxed and comfortable, and their views only represent one aspect, because they are influenced by the big environment.
Our stay in Chengdu is very short, and there are still many things to see. I hope I can have a deeper feeling when I go there in the future.
