Is Jiayuguan, the third stop in the Western Regions, flooded? Did I go to the fake Dunhuang?
Jiayuguan is actually not as barren as imagined. We set off for Jiayuguan scenic spot in the morning and took a bus on the river first. The greening of the urban area is still good, but this time I came in a hurry and failed to savor it.
Jiayuguan is both a tourist city and a heavy industry city. Jiayuguan has suddenly become a resource city since the discovery of iron ore in Huashugou, Qilian Mountain on 1955.
I have never been to Jiayuguan, but I have never been to the northwest. There is some truth in this statement. As one of the three levels, I just missed punching in here.
This is the traffic fortress of the ancient "Silk Road" and the pass at the westernmost end of the Great Wall of Ming Dynasty. It was once called the throat of Hexi in history. Because of its dangerous terrain and magnificent architecture, it is known as the key to the border.
Jiayuguan was founded in the fifth year of Hongwu in Ming Dynasty (1372). It consists of inner city, outer city, Luocheng, Wengcheng, moat and the Great Wall on the north and south wings, with a total length of about 60 kilometers.
Towers, piers and forts are scattered all over the Great Wall, which consists of three lines of defense: inner city, outer city and moat, overlapping defense, forming a defense system of five miles, one long, ten miles, one pier, three miles, one fort and a hundred miles.
This Guandi Temple used to be in the inner city, but it was moved to its present position in the late Ming and early Qing Dynasties. There is a main hall and two accompanying halls, as well as a knife room, a hall, a stable and an archway.
There are hopeful buildings in the four corners of the inner city, also known as the "garrison building", which looks like a bunker and is the place where soldiers guarding the city are on duty. There are watchtowers on the north and south city walls, where weapons are placed.
Jiayuguan also has a scenic spot-the gatehouse looks at the snow, and the city is on the Gobi Desert. Looking at the white snow in Qilian, I can't help but think of the soldiers guarding the border in ancient times, with their gold belts tied to their shirts and their horses' heads rushing through the snow over Lintao.
At this time, buses are flying on the Lanzhou-Xinjiang line, reflecting the snow-capped mountains in the distance and the ancient Great Wall in front of us, which is the same frame of nature and modernity, ancient and present.
Leave Jiayuguan in the afternoon and go to the greening station to experience Jiajing green leather ticket car. Not much to say here.
Please click on the following link for details:
752 1 jiajing railway, crossing the deep valley of Gobi, looks desolate and magnificent.
At 1 the next morning, it was deserted outside Jiayuguan, and we quietly set off for the next stop: Dunhuang.
There are several trains from Jiayuguan to Dunhuang, and there are bullet trains during the day (we left on July 7, and the bullet trains don't leave until 10), among which the train number Y667 is the most suitable. If we take this bus directly in Lanzhou, maybe we can have a cup of tea in the bar car and watch the show.
Y667 arrived in Dunhuang at 6:25 in the morning. According to the original plan, we will visit the Mogao Grottoes directly, and then try to reach the Crescent Spring in Mingsha Mountain at 10, and arrive at Liuyuan South Station from here before 14 in the afternoon to take the bullet train to Hami ... However, when I woke up and looked out of the window, I was blindsided!
It's raining and flooding outside ... first of all, I wonder if I took the wrong bus! Calm down, no! However, an ominous omen filled my mind.
When I arrived in Dunhuang, it was wet and cold, and it was nothing like being in a northwest city. It was raining heavily outside, so I hurried to the station and immediately got on the bus to go to the Mogao Grottoes. Unfortunately, however, because the bridge leading to the Mogao Grottoes was washed away by the flood on July 7, 20 19, the scenic spot was closed! It's unheard of!
This kind of thing that sounds crazy, not to mention us, even the local people in Dunhuang feel incredible. They also said it would rain for a year! In a word, I went through a lot of hardships to Dunhuang, but I couldn't go to the Mogao Grottoes. The reason is even more wonderful: flood!
Finally, I changed my plan temporarily and went to the crescent spring in Mingsha Mountain. Soon after arriving at the door, the rain stopped and the sky gradually cleared up. The desert area looks the same after the rain, but the sand is not so soft.
Fortunately, there is no bridge or river on the way from Mingsha Mountain to Crescent Spring. However, Mingsha Mountain was silent, unlike the legendary shock. Everything around is extraordinarily quiet.
Soon after we walked along the desert path, the crescent spring came into view, surrounded by sand dunes, so delicate. Crescent spring surrounds Mingsha Mountain, which looks like a crescent moon, hence its name. It was called manhole in ancient times, also known as medicine spring.
The mountain sounds like a spirit, and the water is beautiful and spiritual. Mingsha Mountain and Crescent Spring are like a pair of sisters. The mountains are pleasant, and spring washes the heart.
Why is there a crescent moon spring here? Opinions vary. Some people say that Li Guang, the general of the Western Han Dynasty, led troops to dig here. It is also said that there is a screamo temple here, which was caused by the abbot accidentally knocking over the holy water ... but these are all legends.
As for the ancient river channel theory, the fault seepage theory and so on are more credible. In short, there are mountains, springs and temples here, just like the story often heard in my hometown: "Once upon a time, there was a mountain, and there was a temple on it ..."
The sky is clear and the sun is shining. If only there were no heavy rain today. We're not the only ones who think so. As the Mogao Grottoes are closed, tourists gather here. The most spectacular should be the camel brigade.
Camels, one after another, carry tourists on a long journey to the sand dunes. From a distance, it looks like a soldier on the battlefield in autumn, just like an ancient battle formation. It is also like a caravan stuck in a fortress, sailing deep into the desert in a "desert boat".
It's a pity that we can't go to the Mogao Grottoes, but if we miss it again, it will be a regret among regrets. At least the Dunhuang Museum is especially worth visiting.
The exhibition in the museum is bold, magnificent and rough, and it has experienced the broad, profound and profound aesthetic characteristics of Dunhuang. Rich in rhythm, showing the beauty of melody.
A preface hall and eight units, each dynasty has an exhibition. The key is that there is also an exhibition imitating the Mogao Grottoes here, so let's consider it as a visit!
Return to Dunhuang bus station at noon and take the shuttle bus to Liuyuan South Station. This is the car.
/kloc-starts at 0/3 o'clock. Due to road construction, it will arrive at Liuyuan South Station 2 hours 15 minutes away.
It's still early to get on the bus, so we'll take pictures of the car by the parking lot. Here, we can not only photograph the trains on the Lanzhou-Xinjiang Passenger Dedicated Line, but also the freight trains on the Lanzhou-Xinjiang Line in the distance.
16: 30, we entered the station and boarded the train for Hami. Looking back at the direction of Dunhuang, I feel a little sorry.
This trip to Dunhuang is a pity. I never thought that this extreme weather would make me miss the Mogao Grottoes. Some episodes, maybe this is part of the journey!
