Can oranges be stored at minus 8 degrees?

Oranges cannot be stored at minus 8 degrees Celsius. Outdoor oranges are a kind of fruit that cannot tolerate low temperatures. Generally speaking, they are easily damaged by freezing if placed outdoors in winter.

Frostbitten fruits are caused by cell necrosis caused by freezing, causing the skin to turn black, which may lose the original flavor and make the taste worse. The recommended storage temperature is 6 to 12 degrees. This temperature also tastes best. Of course, it can be stored at room temperature, but it will definitely freeze at minus 6 degrees.

How long can oranges be kept:

1. As long as the storage environment is not harsh, oranges are relatively durable fruits. Experiments have proven that the longest shelf life of navel oranges can be 6 months.

2. In actual life, it can be left at room temperature for 3-5 months. It should not be exposed to the sun or frozen. The weather in the south is warmer, so it is better to put it in the refrigerator. The north is colder, so it should not be placed outdoors.

3. It is suitable to be refrigerated at a temperature of 5℃-10℃. Leave an appropriate distance between each orange sound and store it in a ventilated and cool place. If it is to be stored for a long time, it can be placed in the refrigerator. However, if there is mold, the moldy fruits should be discarded as soon as possible, otherwise it will be very easy to infect other oranges.
