Meteorological mural

As the weather in Beijing is getting colder and colder, I don't like traveling in parks or anything. The so-called cat in winter feels that cats should be most comfortable in warm places in winter, so many places are on the road. If it weren't for working near the mouth of fashion, I might not have gone so far to fahai temple. Although I saw how famous fahai temple's murals were on TV a long time ago, I didn't go too far away to see them. Passing by naturally won't miss this opportunity.

On the way to fahai temple, this is a small village, and I think I will develop into a folk village. There are many corn cobs and red lanterns on both sides of the road, and the thick flavor of the year is coming. I continued to walk high and arrived in fahai temple. Usually there are few people in the temple, which is unique and antique.

Fahai temple was founded in Ming Yingzong 1439, and its name is taken from Buddhism, which is broad, deep and wide, like the meaning of the sea. This is a royal temple built by ministers, government organizations and others. After many repairs in history, all the buildings in the temple were basically restored in 2007, forming the current pattern.

Fahai temple is surrounded by four courtyards along Cuiwei Mountain, flanked by Bell and Drum Tower and Ancestral Hall, with Shanmen Hall, Tianwang Hall, Daxiong Hall, Pharmacist Hall and Sutra Pavilion in the middle. In Tianwang Temple, there is a sitting statue of Doran Maitreya Buddha sitting in a peanut bag, with four heavenly kings on both sides and a statue of Wei Tuo behind it. This hall was rebuilt by 1986.

Passing through Tianwang Temple is the main body of the temple. The first thing you see is two tall and striking pine trees in front of the temple. Different from the brown-gray barks of other pine trees, the barks of these two pine trees are completely white, and the leafy branches grow in depth, which is in sharp contrast with the Red Chamber and constitutes a very beautiful painting. The thick trunk is 4 or 5 meters. These two white pines have a history of thousands of years.

There is a special exhibition hall on the left side of Ursa Major Hall, which displays all kinds of treasures of temples, cultural relics and historic sites in fahai temple, from which we can unveil the long history of fahai temple. The entrance is fahai temple Bell, which is made of clay and bronze. Its craftsmanship and exquisiteness can be compared with the Yongle Bell of Juesheng Temple in Wang Zhiyi, the four great clocks in the world. This big clock is called "Five Wonders of fahai temple" together with murals of Ming Dynasty, Datura colored mirrors and the bridge in front of fahai temple Daxiong Hall.

The most important thing to come to fahai temple is to visit the murals in the Hall of Ursa Major. There is a fixed time to explain to them every day. Before the time is up, you can look around other places in the temple and then go back to the pharmacist's hall. The top of the hall has a beautiful algae well. Inside the hall is a replica of the classic mural of the Hall of the Great Hero, Manjusri Bodhisattva, Shuiyue Guanyin and Buddha-Buddha-Buddha-Buddha-Buddha-Buddha-Buddha. Although it is a copy, it is also magnificent, and the details are still remarkable.

The last sutra depository in fahai temple needs a long walk, but it is unnecessary now. It's being repaired, and there's nothing to see when you climb the steps breathlessly.

Looking at it's almost time, I went down the mountain and returned to the Hall of Ursa Major. I put on my shoe cover and took a flashlight under the guidance of the staff and entered a dark hall. This is the first time to see murals in this way. In order to protect the murals in the hall, the whole hall is protected from light and can only be visited by flashlight. Photographing and recording are not allowed. The commentator began to speak from the far left of the hall. Although the murals have passed nearly 600 years, the degree of exquisiteness is still amazing.

The murals here can be said to be the peak of the Ming Dynasty murals, and the style of the Tang and Song Dynasties has been perfectly inherited. At that time, "the picture of the emperor explaining Brahma" was only found in fahai temple murals. In the treatment of mural wall, besides glutinous rice paste, a layer of cashmere was added. After hundreds of years, it has not fallen off except for a little man-made damage.

As a palace mural, it is not only gorgeous and beautiful in form, but also exquisite in the outline of lines. One of the characters in the picture is covered with gauze, and the delicate white brushwork is light and smart, showing this texture. Moreover, the hair of birds and beasts in the murals is not only well rooted, but also full of relief three-dimensional sense, which has a feeling of 3D naked eye.

What impressed me particularly was the skill of draining powder and pasting gold. All kinds of jewelry of all the characters in the mural are solid gold, just like real jewelry, very obvious and extremely luxurious, exquisite and vivid as the narrator obliquely shines on a beam. After reading the original, and then look at the replica in Yakushido, the gap is obvious.

The commentator said that murals in fahai temple suddenly became popular a year ago. One day, I received more than 100 people at one time. In order to protect the original work and gradually limit the flow, the explanation time was shortened from 1 hour to 30 minutes.

Fahai temple ticket 20 yuan 100 Yuan If you look at the murals in the Ursa Major Hall, you can only visit it by flashlight. Many people will think it is expensive, but for those who like murals, it is good to listen to the stories of murals and see the exquisite skills.
