At first, I thought why the requirements were so high, but now I realize the necessity of it in my junior year! When you come into contact with professional courses such as dynamic meteorology, numerical weather forecast and fluid mechanics in junior year, you will find that it is difficult to master these courses without a good foundation in mathematics and physics. Even if there are surprises before the exam, you still don't really have the necessary knowledge. Not only that, this major also has high requirements for computers. As far as the programming platform I am using now is concerned, there are Fortran, Grads, MATLAB and so on. Therefore, I suggest that you should be mentally prepared in advance before making a plan.
