Xianghe belongs to the Seventh Ring Road in Beijing. Xianghe is located in the northern part of North China Plain, bordering Beijing and Tianjin on all sides, and is known as the "Pearl of Gyeonggi". With a total area of 458 square kilometers, it governs 9 towns, 3 sub-district offices, 3 provincial industrial parks, 1 provincial agricultural high-tech parks and ***300 administrative villages.

Xianghe is adjacent to Baodi District of Tianjin in the east, facing wuqing district of Tianjin across Qinglongwan River in the south, Tongzhou District of Beijing in the west and sanhe city and Dachang Hui Autonomous County in the north. The whole area is maple leaf-shaped.
