Why is the global temperature so cold? Is global warming fake?

Maybe everyone is confused. We can see the news about global warming almost every day. Numerous experts and scholars are shouting loudly that the greenhouse effect is leading to global warming. However, this winter is very cold, and the two cold waves are even dubbed as "overlord level" and "emperor level". Many places in China have also set the lowest temperature since records began. 65438+1in the first ten days of October, the temperature in central and eastern Inner Mongolia even appeared at MINUS 52℃, so why is there such a cold winter in the context of global warming? This may be a question that everyone is puzzled about.

Recently, however, some experts have given the answer, which is quite unexpected. Ding, an academician of China Academy of Engineering and a meteorologist, said that it was because of global warming that it was so cold this winter.

In an interview with CCTV media, Academician Ding said: Under normal circumstances, the cold air in the polar regions will be controlled by the westerlies of the earth, and it will be enclosed in areas close to the North Pole. Although it will often be pushed to low latitudes, the suction belt has strong control, so most of the cold air will be confined in the North Pole like a sheepfold. However, global warming has increased the temperature in the Arctic region, especially the warming effect of the North Atlantic warm current on the Arctic region, resulting in the "fence" function of the westerly belt is no longer as strong as before, and the high-pressure cold air in the polar regions is easier to break through, and the westerly belt blows south.

At the same time, La Nina caused by global warming makes the low-latitude seawater cool, especially in the central and eastern Pacific Ocean, where large areas of low-temperature seawater often appear. As a result, the temperature gradient at high and low latitudes in the northern hemisphere of the earth is reduced, the original equilibrium state of the climate system is broken, and the cold air mass at high latitudes is unconstrained. Then, under the higher pressure difference, it quickly advances to the low latitude in the form of a cold wave. So in fact, global warming will not lead to warm winters everywhere. For example, in some parts of the northern hemisphere, global warming will make winter colder.
