Outdoor sports are the most popular As for the weather, our fishing activities were canceled on the morning of our second day in Kaikoura due to strong wind and waves. But we still had a delicious lobster feast at the famous bbq barbecue restaurant on the beach, and it was not in vain that we took a detour to Kaikoura. We set off at one o'clock in the afternoon, and the mountain road from Kaikoura to Christ was coupled with the rainy weather. We arrived at Tekapo around seven o'clock in the evening and enjoyed stargazing late at night.

Tekapo is a famous starry sky town. You can’t miss a stargazing trip here. You can join a stargazing group organized by a travel agency.

Of course, you can also go to the Church of the Good Shepherd to shoot the stars on your own. Stargazing activities are closely related to the weather. We are simply very lucky. The first time we saw the stars in the sky can only be described as amazing. We could see the Southern Cross (the brightest star in the sky) which is not found in the northern hemisphere.

Today’s itinerary is to hike Mount Cook, passing the beautiful Lake Pukaki along the way. Don’t miss the fresh alpine salmon. Along the way, snow-covered mountains, flat terrain and farmland interweave into a beautiful scene.

Mount Cook is a famous hiking location in the South Island of New Zealand. We chose to hike the classic Hook Trail, which is 20 kilometers round trip and takes 4 hours. Along the way, we will see snowy mountains, green spaces, waterfalls, and creeks. Glacial lake, there are floating ice on the lake.

After returning from Mount Cook, go to Lake Tekapo. Surrounded by the towering Alps, Lake Tekapo has gem-like clear water. The Shepherd’s Church located on the lake is also famous.
