The 3,000-hour experience of the captain's murder in Ye Ting was a conspiracy without evidence. Sixty years later, the dying old man told the truth.
Ye Ting's wish has never come true. Five years, five years, Ye Ting witnessed the Japanese invasion, the Japanese defeat and the Japanese surrender, but failed to participate in them and contribute their abilities.
Because in these five years, he spent his whole life in the captivity of the Kuomintang.
1946 On March 4th, after five years in prison, the dawn finally dawned in Ye Ting.
On the second day of Ye Ting's freedom, he happily sent a telegram to the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China: "I want to join the Communist Party of China (CPC)!"
On March 7th, the Central Committee responded by accepting Ye Ting to join the Party and welcoming him back.
On April 8, when the plane crashed, Ye Ting was on his way to Yan 'an.
Chairman Mao expressed his condolences in Liberation Daily: "It is glorious to die for the people."
So today, let's review the whole story of this air crash and uncover the puzzles that we couldn't solve in those years.
According to the old rules, first of all, let's talk about some stories that happened during Ye Ting's five years in prison. As a background, let me tell you something.
As we all know, the Xi incident forced Chiang Kai-shek to agree to the second cooperation between China and Japan, with the aim of uniting with the outside world and cracking down on the Japanese aggressors.
Then, on this premise, the main force of the Red Army was reorganized into the Eighth Route Army. During the 25,000-mile long March, the guerrillas and Red Army troops in the south who still insisted on guerrilla warfare were also reorganized. This is our new fourth army.
Of course, the cooperation between the two sides was not harmonious in the early days, but they could still fight the devils with guns.
However, after the Japanese and Chinese armies were deadlocked on the frontal battlefield, this already discordant cooperation began to loosen.
After all, at this point, the Japanese can't survive because of endless war input, and have turned their attention to the fertile Pacific Ocean; In addition, in the process of the Eighth Route Army and the New Fourth Army's anti-Japanese war, the base areas behind enemy lines grew from scratch and expanded continuously.
Chiang Kai-shek's strategy of "settling down first" began to sprout again, so he began to extend the butcher knife to the Eighth Route Army and the New Fourth Army.
Then in history, we can see that the Southern Anhui Incident happened. More than 9,000 people of the New Fourth Army were surrounded by seven divisions of the Kuomintang, with nearly 80,000 people. The New Fourth Army fought hard for seven days and nights, except for more than 2,000 people who broke through, most of them were sacrificed or captured.
As the commander of the New Fourth Army, Ye Ting negotiated with the Kuomintang during this period and was detained by the Kuomintang.
Chiang Kai-shek wanted to persuade Ye Ting to use it for himself, so we saw a wave of lobbyists sent by Chiang Kai-shek, which almost didn't pave the way for Ye Ting.
First of all, Chen Cheng came to the door. In the face of smiling Chen Cheng, Ye Ting didn't give him any good looks.
In Chen Cheng's eyes, Ye Ting is an oily elm knot in one's heart and can't figure it out.
Anti-Japanese? * * * The producers' party is resisting Japan, so the Kuomintang is no longer resisting Japan? They are all anti-Japanese. Why is it so difficult for you to change your allegiance?
* * * What can the Production Party give you in Ye Ting? Is it a gun or a cannon? Is the salary adequate or is the clothes suitable all year round? Four people can't even get guns, and the armed men with spears and broadswords work hard. Why is Ye Ting so attractive to you?
Ye Ting looked at Chen Cheng coldly and said contemptuously: "There is no common goal, no common goal, and I, Ye Ting, only pursue the * * * production party. You can go back! I am still busy! "
In the face of Ye Ting who doesn't talk, Chen Cheng just pours his mouth into the honeypot, and doesn't exert himself.
Then Zhang Fakui came again.
Some friends don't understand the relationship between Zhang Fakui and Ye Ting. I am here to tell you. During the Nanchang Uprising, Zhang Fakui was the commander of the Fourth Army of the Kuomintang Revolutionary Army, and Ye Ting was the head of the 73rd Zhang Fakui Regiment.
The two are not only superiors and subordinates, but also old classmates, old colleagues and fellow villagers.
Ye Ting in the face of this is the fourth theater commander Sir's old classmate, Ye Ting didn't face Chen Cheng's calm, replaced by anger:
In the face of such an answer, Zhang Fakui had to disgruntled.
Chiang Kai-shek saw his men being turned away one by one in front of Ye Ting, but he was still a little unwilling to give up and planned to do it himself.
Seeing Chiang Kai-shek's Ye Ting, I was only angry, so it would not be good to give Chiang Kai-shek a face.
In Chiang Kai-shek's view, Ye Ting was too soft to eat, so he had to do something hard.
So if there are a bunch of threats, it generally means:
Ye Ting's answer directly choked Chiang Kai-shek: "I have decided, I am finished!"
Looking at Ye Ting's tough attitude, he didn't give Chiang Kai-shek any leeway, so he had to find himself under the steps.
In other words, Chiang Kai-shek didn't mean that. As long as Ye Ting goes to the third war zone to practice, there is still a future.
Well, this is also a theory that falls into practice.
Of course, Ye Ting's answer is still so quick and powerful:
Well, speaking of which, I'm going to die, and there won't be any good answer if I go on.
Chiang Kai-shek could only leave angrily. Finally, he told Ye Ting that he would think about it again. After he figured it out, he told Guo Chan about it.
When facing Guo Chan, Ye Ting talked with him for another hour, and finally got a sentence from Ye Ting: "Otherwise, shoot me!"
In fact, since Ye Ting was detained, he has asked the Kuomintang to open a military court several times and shoot himself.
In the face of threats and inducements from the Kuomintang, Ye Ting didn't compromise, so in history, we saw that Ye Ting was imprisoned in many places, including Jiangxi, Hubei and Guangxi, and finally transferred to Chongqing Institute of Sino-US Special Technical Cooperation, which was actually a concentration camp.
In this process, a series of senior Kuomintang officials still did not give up the idea of persuading Ye Ting to be the deputy commander-in-chief of the Sixth Theater, or simply acting as the commander-in-chief.
You don't know. Later, the Kuomintang formed an expeditionary force, and Chen Cheng invited him to be the deputy commander-in-chief of the expeditionary force.
All these were rejected by Ye Ting.
1943, Ye Ting's family moved from Hubei to Guilin, Guangxi, where the former site of the fourth war zone was commanded by his old classmate Zhang Fakui.
At that time, the monthly salary paid to the Ye Ting family was two stones of rice and three thousand yuan of legal tender. According to the rules, these things are treated as senior staff officers in the fourth war zone.
At this time, Ye Ting lived with her mother-in-law and brother-in-law's family, and with the soaring prices at that time, this thing was actually more than a dozen mouths to eat.
What about the Kuomintang? In order to continue to persuade Ye Ting to impose an economic blockade on the Ye Ting family, some bills sent to Ye Ting from outside were directly confiscated by the Kuomintang.
And in this year, Ye Ting's wife gave birth to a child for him. Facing the hungry baby and his weak wife, the Kuomintang spy came to the fore.
The spy came to you with a large sum of money, intending to give a so-called timely help to subdue Ye Ting. As a result, these guys were blinded by lard, and Ye Ting directly threw the money out the door.
"Get out of here! Get out! "
In order to solve the family's food problem, Ye Ting sold his wife's jewelry and bought the seeds of farm tools. He not only planted the land, but also raised a dozen goats and piglets.
In short, Ye Ting was transferred and detained by the Kuomintang in different places, and Ye Ting was also farming in different places, raising pigs and sheep.
Even more vegetables are planted, and vegetables that cannot be eaten at home are sold in the market.
Ye Ting is a smoker. Sometimes he can't afford cigarettes, so he makes some tobacco and rolls it.
Ye Ting thus endured until March 4th 1946. At this point, with the victory of the Anti-Japanese War, Chiang Kai-shek began to prepare for civil war under the guise of peace talks.
The Central Committee took this opportunity to rescue Ye Ting, and Ye Ting was released after being imprisoned for five years.
After Ye Ting gained his freedom, he attended a three-person military meeting of the National Peace Talks in Chongqing.
On April 8th, 1946, Ye Ting flew back to Yan 'an with a son and a daughter.
Thirteen people got on the plane, and the happiest ones were two children. They knew they were going home.
But none of the adults on the plane were happy, because the negotiations were not smooth.
But everyone didn't expect that they were walking towards a trap step by step, a plot to kill them all.
You know, the captain of this plane is an American pilot with 3000 hours of driving experience. The flying tiger armband on his shoulder can prove that he is an excellent pilot, and there is absolutely no problem in dealing with some flight failures.
When the plane took off from Chongqing, the weather was not beautiful. After the plane took off, it began to rain lightly. Of course, this is not the same thing in front of the captain. This situation has not happened once or twice.
The captain stared at the dashboard, all the hands were working normally, and everything looked perfect.
The haze in the sky did not affect the captain's mood.
So the plane landed happily in Xi 'an. The plane added a little oil and had a rest. All the people got on the plane and flew to the final destination-Yan 'an.
"The plane traveled a long way! The plane is lost! " This is the last report sent by the plane to the ground.
At this point, the plane disappeared from people's sight.
"What's the matter?" Waiting in Yan 'an are not only the leading comrades of the CPC Central Committee, but also Ye Ting's son and the family members of the flight crew. They didn't see the plane at the scheduled time.
When I received the notice again, the news was five words-the plane was missing!
"looking for! Be sure to find them! "
At that time, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China generated electricity all over the country, and the soldiers and civilians scattered in search of the missing plane. Even the US military sent two planes to look for the missing plane from the air.
Finally, on the afternoon of April 9, the secretary of the district party Committee of Heicha Mountain in Xing County, Shanxi Province reported: "We found a plane that crashed on Heicha Mountain!"
Finally, the plane that crashed into Black Tea Mountain was the missing plane that Ye Ting took.
No one can know what happened to the plane at the last minute and what happened to the people on the plane. At that time, the plane didn't have any black boxes, only people guessed according to various signs.
First, after on-site investigation, it was found that the aircraft fuselage had serious scratches and the aircraft had exploded. But this explosion can prove that it was not an explosion when flying in the sky, but an explosion caused by the collision between the plane and Heicha Mountain.
This point was repeatedly checked by the personnel at that time, and it was quite certain that the explosion could rule out the explosion caused by human factors.
Participating in the investigation were Tan, director of the Jinsui Public Security Bureau (an old Red Army, who served as deputy procurator-general of the Supreme People's Procuratorate after the founding of the People's Republic of China) and Gu Yizhi, a confidential secretary.
Second, when the plane flies in the sky, the local weather is bad and the fog is very heavy.
Together, the above two items seem to tell people that the plane crash should be an accident in which the pilot installed it on the Black Tea Mountain without clear vision.
So it was an accident?
But there are many unexplained places in it.
First, the plane refueled in Xi 'an, so after taking off, the plane should fly north in the same direction, so as to reach Yan 'an.
But in fact? When you spread out the map, you will find that Black Tea Mountain is in the northeast of Xi. He flew to the east of the Yellow River and ran into the Black Tea Mountain, which should not have appeared on the waterway. Please give a reasonable explanation?
Of course, some people will say that this is a pilot's problem.
Then the question is, an old pilot with 3000 hours of flying experience can't tell the north from the northeast?
What is even weirder is that the plane should fly at an altitude of more than 6000 meters, while Heicha Mountain is only more than 2000 meters.
Then there is a problem here that must be explained clearly. Why did an old pilot with 3000 hours flying experience adjust the height of the plane to more than 2000 meters just to hit a mountain? This is absolutely impossible.
The above two points are the root cause of the plane hitting the mountain.
Then let's look at a seemingly unrelated reason. The people sitting on the plane are * * * producers, and most of them are senior or important leaders of * * * producers, but all the people flying the plane are Americans.
From this perspective, it seems that this matter has nothing to do with the Kuomintang.
At that time, we could not give clear answers to all these questions. Premier Zhou thinks this is a conspiracy, a conspiracy arranged by the Kuomintang, but we have no evidence at all.
Later, Premier Zhou met the children in Ye Ting and told them: This must be the plane crash caused by the sabotage of those spies.
At that time, the environment was still in the period of negotiations between the two parties. In order to promote negotiations between the two parties and reach cooperation, we should not leave any handle for the Kuomintang. So the news released by Xinhua News Agency at that time, in addition to reporting the whole incident, only mentioned:
And the next day, Xinhua News Agency published "The Death of Wang Ruofei's Rule", which once again explained the whole story. And explain the cause of the plane crash:
what can I say? The weather at that time was really bad, not only in the Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia border region, but also in the Heichashan area in northwest Shanxi, accompanied by rising fog.
However, it is mentioned at the end of this article that the Kuomintang did not have the sincerity to break the armistice agreement in this peace negotiation, forcing Wang Ruofei, Ye Ting and others to return to Yan 'an in such bad weather, which eventually led to the destruction of the plane and the death of people. This is the indirect cause of the plane crash.
Of course, at the end of this article, I mentioned a problem that has not been explained clearly. After the plane flew over Ganquan, it completely lost contact with the plane, so I don't know where the plane went.
Later, Premier Zhou said in the eulogy of "Immortal Martyrs on April 8th":
Of course, at that time, everything could only stay on this indirect cause, and the direct cause has always been a mystery, and no one can answer it.
In view of the April 8 air crash, in order to prevent spies from repeating the same mistakes and let similar things happen again, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China made a request to the Kuomintang at that time:
On this point, the Kuomintang agreed.
But around the cause of the plane crash, there has been no clear truth to tell people what happened on the plane at that time.
And the inference about the plane crash has never stopped.
There is an inference that is very close to the fact, but there is no evidence, which can only be used as a subjective analysis and judgment.
Ye Ting's eldest son, Ye Zheng Da, was the first batch of aviation experts trained by our new China, with the rank of lieutenant general, and later became the former deputy director of the Science and Technology Committee of the Commission of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense.
Ye Zheng Da restored the scene on the plane at that time according to what he learned and all the actual situations he could grasp at that time.
First, the plane departed from Chongqing and came to Xi to refuel. After refueling, the plane took off.
Then it is normal to have a distance of 30 kilometers during the flight, and the connection between the plane and the ground is very smooth. But as long as we cross this distance, the direction of the plane will deviate, not to Yan' an, but to Heicha Mountain.
Therefore, Kuomintang agents can only destroy the plane at Xi 'an airport, and use the gap between refueling to install a destruction device on the plane.
So where did this device go?
Then it depends on the performance of the plane before it crashes. Originally, the plane was supposed to fly on a 6-kilometer waterway, but it crashed into the black tea mountain more than 2000 meters for no reason.
Explain what? It means that this device destroyed the altimeter.
In addition, it was originally flying north, but actually the plane flew northeast. The martyrs' relics also mentioned that the plane lost contact.
Then it further shows that this device also destroyed the compass, the lack of direction and height, and finally caused the plane to hit the black tea mountain.
Then let's look at the style of the plane at that time. That's a C-47 transport plane, which is very primitive and fundamentally different from modern aircraft.
All kinds of electronic instruments basically don't exist, so to destroy this original equipment, in fact, we can disable the instruments of this C-47 transport aircraft in a very simple way.
So this device should be very simple.
You never imagined that three years after the publication of Ye's "Memories and Analysis of Air crashes", an old man lying in a hospital bed spoke, and he told the truth about the air crash that year.
This year is 2006, 60 years have passed since the air crash on April 8.
"I did it!" When the old man said this, tears welled up in his eyes. The secret has been on the mind of the old man for years. As soon as he closed his eyes, he thought of two lively children (a son and a daughter in Ye Ting) who got into the plane damaged by him. He felt sorry for them.
So what did the old man do?
I have to mention one person here. His name is Wang Pinghu. He was originally a spy, specially assigned to the air force to monitor the air force.
At that time, Wang Pinghu was the chief of the Air Force Dispatching Section, which gave him access to the dispatchers and crew of various aircraft.
So when he learned that there were very important members in the Party, he flew to Yan 'an and immediately got excited and called the boss in Nanjing.
“VIP?” Hearing these two words, there was heavy breathing on the other end of the phone, mixed with a little excitement: "Get a list at once and send me the information about these people."
Before long, the list of thirteen people fell on the desk of the then military spy director.
So a despicable murder began.
Wang Pinghu provided everything he knew, the flight records of the plane and detailed archival materials.
Then the order came down. The spies searched for people who knew about aircraft maintenance and asked Wang Pinghu to be placed in the inspection team at Xi 'an Airport. Taking advantage of the maintenance opportunity, they put a small magnet on the back of the altimeter and compass.
Therefore, the simple device mentioned by Ye is actually a small magnet, which leads to the failure of the altimeter and compass of the plane, makes the captain lose his course, misjudges the altitude of the plane, and finally leads to an air crash.
The old man who exposed the truth is Du. At that time, he was the captain of the special group of the China-US Institute of Special Cooperation. He organized and arranged the operation, and the person who placed the magnet was also selected by Du.
This action made Du feel guilty for most of his life, which made him breathless, even in a small corner.
Until his death, Du made everything public, and he didn't want to carry this burden when he died.
