Nuanquan Town is located in the west of Yuxian County, Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province, east longitude114 26', north latitude 39 48', and 3 kilometers west is the provincial boundary between Hebei and Shanxi. There are 16 administrative villages in the town, with16,649 people, including 2,342 non-agricultural people, with a town area of 57.3 square kilometers. There are 8 administrative villages in the town,1041person, and the living area is 1.3 square kilometers. The West Castle of Wenquan Town, known as "the first village of Hebei folk culture", is a typical castle in Yuxian County and even in Hebei Province. The well-known Xichengbao Village, commonly known as "Zhaibao", is located in Wenquan Town, Yuxian County, Zhangjiakou City, two kilometers west of which is the provincial boundary between Hebei and Shanxi. There are 635 households 1629 people in the village. The castle was built in Jiajing period of Ming Dynasty, and it was extended in late Ming and early Qing Dynasty. This place is the most unique and well-preserved example among the 800 Zhuang castles in Gu Wei, which integrates four cultural wonders: ancient houses, ancient temples, ancient castles and ancient theatres.
