Why is the weather in Taklimakan Desert changeable?

The weather phenomenon in Taklimakan Desert is rich and colorful. In addition to sunrise, sunset, morning glow, sunset, warm wind, storm and other characteristics, we can also see fog, hail, dew, frost, snow and other phenomena that are considered to be unique to humid areas.

Fog is produced by condensation of water vapor, but there are still foggy days in Taklimakan, which is regarded as extremely dry, with three and a half foggy days a year. Some scholars have theoretically discussed that hailstones can never appear in extremely arid desert areas, but in fact, there will be hailstones falling in Taklimakan area every year.

In the hinterland of the desert, there are nearly 10 days of thunderstorms, 140 ~ 230 days of frost, and even two days of snowfall, with the depth of snow reaching 1 ~ 5 cm. Seeing the endless white desert, people really marvel at the magical power of nature. Taklimakan is really a magical place.
