Will the smoke alarm flash red?

The smoke alarm will flash red.

Sometimes it is found that the smoke alarm flashes a red light, which is normal. Its flashing is regular, about once every 15 seconds. This is because the smoke alarm is patrolling itself to see if there is smoke around, and flashing red light can also indicate that the smoke alarm is working normally.

Introduction of ion smoke alarm.

Ion smoke alarm is more sensitive to tiny smoke particles and can respond to all kinds of smoke in a balanced way. However, the front photoelectric smoke alarm is more sensitive to slightly larger smoke particles, but its response to gray smoke and black smoke is poor. When there is a raging fire, there are more fine smoke particles in the air, and when there is smoldering, there will be more slightly larger smoke particles in the air.

If a large number of tiny particles of smoke are generated after a fire, the ion smoke detector will give an alarm before the photoelectric smoke detector. The time interval between the two smoke alarms is not long, but this kind of fire spreads very fast, so it is best to install an ion smoke alarm in this place.

Another smoldering fire produces a large number of slightly larger smoke particles, and the photoelectric smoke alarm will give an alarm before the ion smoke alarm. It is suggested to install photoelectric smoke alarms in these places. If you want to have both, you can install two smoke alarms where necessary.
