Basic introduction of Yu He town

Yu He is an ancient town in the Ming and Qing Dynasties, and it was known as "black soil An Ge" in the Ming Dynasty. It is an important fortress in the north since the Song and Ming Dynasties, relying on Yulin Wei as a frontier defense and garrison place. During the War of Liberation, Marshal Peng led the Northwest Field Army to station as the headquarters for attacking Yulin. Old Yu He Castle has a wall, where the North Gate remains. Yuhebao has a famous "Fucheng Imperial Temple" with strong incense, and the annual "Fucheng Imperial Palace" ceremony is huge, which has been recognized as the intangible cultural heritage of Shaanxi Province.

Yuhebao is adjacent to the mountainous area in the east and Yuxi River, the main tributary of the Wuding River in the west, guarding the Qinzhi Road from Gu 'an to Shang Jun. Now it is located at the intersection of 2 10 national highway and Ding Yu highway. Sui Yu expressway has rest areas and exits in Yu He, and Xibao Railway has Yu He Railway Station and coal container station in Yu He. Yu He is less than 50 kilometers away from Yulin International Airport. Fort Yu He is an important transportation hub in Yulin, and its geographical position is very important.

In 1990s, Yu He withdrew land from the countryside to build a town. Through the efforts of local people, thousands of years of saline-alkali land has been improved into a fertile field with thousands of acres of rice, which is one of the rare areas in northern Shaanxi where rice is planted. It has also become a famous land of fish and rice in northern Shaanxi. Because of the large temperature difference between day and night, abundant sunshine, sweet and delicious, moderate viscosity and crystal clear, rice was once called "pearl rice" by People's Daily, and it is the main specialty of Yuhebao. Since the beginning of this century, through geological exploration, it has been proved that the vast area around the Yu He River has the largest and thickest rock salt layer in the world. As a national strategic material, it will bring great changes to the production and life of local people.
