1985 After graduating from Jackson Memorial High School, 18-year-old Zakk worked in a local supermarket, worked as a roof decorator and played guitar in several bands. At this time, he began to write his own original songs, and joined a band called Zyris, replacing their guitarist Dave Linsk.
