How to draw a cat with gouache
Step 1: Draw the manuscript with a pencil. First, model according to the copied picture, and draw the external outline of the cat. Try to draw as accurately as possible, reduce changes and make the picture cleaner. Cross auxiliary lines can be drawn to determine the position of the cat's five senses.
Step 2: Draw a cat's facial features, a round cat's eye, a small nose and spit out small tongue. Then refine the line draft, pay attention to the ear shape, draw a beard and other details.
Step 3: Paint the background color with white gouache pigment. In order to see the pencil draft clearly, the pigment can be mixed with a little more water when painting the background color, so as not to completely cover the line draft.
Step 4: Divide the color blocks and cover the parts of different colors with gray.
Then dilute it with paper towels or sponge water. The color should not be so heavy, just a lighter layer, so that the color transition will be natural.
Step 5: Use gray again. This time, the color of the cat's gray hair will be layered.
Step 6: Then use the corresponding color to refine the details, draw the cat's eye, and highlight the part with white dots. What color do you see when you draw the scarf part? Remember to paint the beard and the cat's eyebrows white. Finally, draw the projection part and it will be ok.
