Laoshu Huahua: What is the meaning of life? Life is just thinking
On the evening of July 29, Lao Shu brought his new book "In the Jianghu" to talk with Feng Tang and Yang Kui about their life experience of "being in the Jianghu" at One-Way Space in Beijing. When these three men who are accustomed to freedom come together, what they say becomes even less "serious". However, what flows under this "irregular" surface is their respective serious thinking.

Laoshu himself said that this book came from an accident. A student recorded the conversation with him and compiled it two years later. I thought it was interesting when I read it myself. Many of the issues in it may have been thrown into confusion at the time, but I actually didn’t think about it seriously. Simply based on these six to seven thousand words, after thinking about it thoroughly, there are eighty or ninety thousand words in total. As for the title "In the Jianghu", it is because everyone is in the Jianghu. The arena here is relative to the temple. He said that he was not as leisurely as he saw in the painting. Like everyone else, I was full of all kinds of anxieties. So through a conversion method, whether it is painting or writing, slowly touch yourself, understand yourself, talk about how to get along with yourself, and slowly calm down.
Laoshu feels that this era is too irritable, and he admires himself for being able to live for more than 50 years without going crazy. In the past, society was relatively separated from the temple, and there was a secular space to live in. There is nowhere to hide now. Everyone has to swim around in the rivers and lakes to find a gap and try to keep themselves alive.

As a friend, Feng Tang said that Laoshu’s painting and writing novels are the rare people in this society who can just do it for themselves. People who express themselves. I thought that since God regards me as a medium, I should use it to solve the human problems I encounter. If everyone encounters similar things, come and take a look, and vent after reading it, and the disease will be cured by half. He felt that Laoshu's limericks were both smooth and very cynical. It was this kind of tension and contradiction that produced interesting things. If you are cynical from the inside out, you are basically a fool. If you are smooth from the inside out, you may not be able to express your desire for expression.
Yang Kui feels that people need to learn something as soon as they are young - such as art, painting, writing or a broader, more intense and stylish hobby to combat the problems that will come with age. The truth of life - boredom. The things Laoshu painted seem to be very simple, but the innocence of his heart is the simplicity after the most complexity. Therefore, you must have a strong foundation in learning to be able to withstand various impacts. ?
Laoshu responded to Yang Kui’s statement and went on to say: “Actually, men should know something after they reach the age of thirty-five or six. Various experiences and various people they meet may be Some of the same experiences as men." He said that people of his age have been taught that life is valuable since childhood, and their education is full of grand narratives. Over the years, I have discovered that I have been deceived by this sentence for forty or fifty years. I will never find any meaning in my life. Regarding life, his personal experience is not to deliberately design anything, just leave when there is a bright spot ahead, and turn around when you reach a dead end. Human life is diverse, you can do whatever you want, as long as it doesn't break the law.
When answering questions from the audience, Laoshu said that whether it is painting or doing other things, there is no need to be so deliberate. The first feeling is very important, and comfort is very conscious. "Nowadays, there are many novels. I often feel that those books were written on a bed in Dali without wearing pants when I woke up in the morning. It's a bit flattering to say chicken soup for the soul, pigeon soup for the soul, and bastard soup for the soul. It's pretentious. We old men look at it. "A little chilly."
He said that he likes Jimmy very much, and also likes Mickey Mouse and other cartoon characters. One of the things they have in common is that they always maintain a childlike innocence and a very different relationship with the world. A close and very sensitive feeling relationship. Staying childlike is much more important than caring about your age. ?
As for the anxiety mentioned in the speech, the antidote given by Laoshu is-"just mess around", everyone has his own response. People are always in a state of anxiety. If a person is absolutely comfortable, he will be disabled. If he is absolutely nervous, he may have to enter a mental hospital. The best state is to be in between the two.
