Painting Idiot —— Appreciation of Zhao Wensheng's Flower and Bird Paintings

Zhao Wensheng, Han nationality, 1966, from hua county, Henan. He is a member of Henan Artists Association, Henan Photographers Association, Secretary General of Puyang Flower and Bird Painting Art Committee, and Chairman of Puyang Hualong Artists Association. On 20/0/5, I studied in Guo Shifu freehand flower-and-bird painting workshop, an advanced research class of Tsinghua University Academy of Fine Arts. I like painting and calligraphy since I was a child, and I have been writing for many years. His works have participated in many national, provincial and municipal painting and calligraphy exhibitions and won awards.

For a long time, he kept quiet and persevered, and accumulated rich academic support, which made his paintings full of bookish spirit. He specializes in flowers and birds for many years, and his works are bold and vigorous, simple and elegant, ethereal and simple, and full of tension. The cranes, birds and even flowers in his works are full of spirituality and interest.

The conception of flower-and-bird painting is often related to personnel. It is not to paint flowers and birds for the sake of painting flowers and birds, nor to copy nature, but to firmly grasp the relationship between animals and plants and people's life experiences, thoughts and feelings and strengthen their performance, so that the works originate from nature and transcend nature. This requires a painter to have certain knowledge of Chinese studies, including literature, history and philosophy.
