Shooting skills of the sea
Shooting skills in the sea 1. Prime time shooting.
Sunrise and sunset are the time when the color temperature is the most beautiful, and it is also the prime time for shooting. At this time, the light is softer, the color is more dramatic, and the reflection on the water surface can present more details. So the direction of sunset and shooting location should be chosen in the afternoon; Determine the direction and location of shooting the sunrise tomorrow morning the day before.
2. Carefully compose the picture, and make full use of the foreground and guiding line of the seaside.
In landscape photography, the application of foreground and guide line is very important. The use of the theme of the sea in shooting is more applicable. The sea has been photographed, and there is no foreground reference and guiding line to reflect its width. Rocks, pebbles and beach textures are all good guidelines.
3. Reasonable use of shutter speed to express water with different textures.
Use a small aperture and low ISO, use a filter to reduce the amount of light entering the lens, and use a slow shutter to shoot the sea, so that the atomized water surface and the turbulent sea look fine, just like a cloud. This is also a way that I personally prefer to express the sea. Of course, you can also record the rough side of the sea with a higher shutter speed to capture the wonderful moment when waves collide with rocks.
4. Use CPL and medium gray gradient filter to balance exposure.
CPL polarizer is an essential filter for shooting scenery, and it is also suitable for shooting the sea. By turning the CPL to darken the sky, white clouds can be more prominent in the dark blue, which increases the visual impact of the picture. In addition, CPL can also reduce the reflection of seawater and make the sea look more calm and mature. At the same time, the use of CPL also plays a role in reducing the mirror, which can prolong the exposure time and better atomize the seawater.
When shooting sunrise and sunset at the seaside, everyone has generally encountered such a problem: the light difference between the sky and the ground is quite large, and the focus metering in the brightest, darkest and middle positions is not perfect. In this case, it is difficult to take pictures of the sky and the sea at the same time. If the sky is accurately exposed, the sea surface will be underexposed and become black; If the sea surface exposure is accurate, the sky will be overexposed and become dead white. This is a medium gray gradient filter, which will play a good role in balancing exposure.
Tips:
1. When shooting at the seaside, you should pay attention to the ebb and flow of tides and don't put yourself in danger.
2. The reef is slippery, so pay special attention to safety.
3. Seawater is very corrosive, so be careful not to immerse the camera in seawater.
4. There is a lot of sand on the beach, so avoid frequent lens changes. The sand on the lens can easily scratch the lens, so be careful when cleaning the dust on the lens.
5. When using a tripod on the beach, press the tripod into the sand as much as possible. Small sand and seawater can easily enter the Yuntai and other parts. Rinse with clear water immediately after shooting to avoid corrosion.
