Its exquisite and elegant pictures made a group of soldiers in the digital age crazy, and this group was labeled as "film control". However, some people suffer from the complexity of film production, so they use the later stage to achieve the effect of film imaging. Today, we invited a photographer and asked him to share with you how to use ps to create a literary film full of movie flavor in the digital age.

The first step: secondary composition and automatic color scale adjustment.

After opening the original image, don't forget to press Ctrl+j to copy the layer (even if it's not used in many cases), and then square crop the image. In order to make the picture slightly transparent, you can use automatic color scale to adjust it, and of course you can also manually correct it yourself.

Step 2: Adjust the hue of leaves with hue saturation.

After imprinting the layer, use hue saturation, select yellow, click the color of yellow-green leaves with the eyedropper tool, and adjust with reference to the hue, saturation, lightness and other parameters shown below.

Step 3: Match colors with optional colors.

Use red in the optional colors, and adjust the skin color of the model according to personal preference.

Using the green color in the optional color, adjust the following parameters for the green part in the picture to make the leaves appear dark green in literary style.

Step 4: Bring out the transparency of color scale.

Use color levels to adjust highlights and shades to make the picture more transparent. At the same time, cooperate with the mask to erase the details of the dead black part and overexposed part caused by the color level adjustment. Note that the transparency and filling degree of the brush should be slightly lower, and it is better to wipe it several times.

Step 5: Stamp the layer to balance the brightness of the picture.

After capping the layer, choose the positive overlay layer mode to darken the glaring highlights and some environmental elements that you want to darken. At the same time, the mask is used to restore the main body.

Step 6: Cover the yellow solid color layer.

Use the positive overlay mode to overlay the yellow solid color layer, and use it with the mask to make the film faint.

Step 7: Tone Saturation/Optional Colors

Use hue saturation and optional colors again to adjust the leaf part as follows, and the specific parameters can be tried slowly.

Step 8: Paint with a brush.

If you find that the light and shade are not satisfactory in the process, you can also use the color scale tool to adjust with the mask. Next, use the brush tool to color some elements in the movie. The following three layers are used to color the faces of fish, lips and models, so that the red in the film is in sharp contrast with the green in the background, which increases the layering of colors; At the same time, it also allows fish, lips and blush to achieve color echo.

Suggestion: 1, each layer is only used to color one element; 2. Use the transparency, filling degree and layer of the brush.

Step 9: Add draft materials.

Download some favorite scrapers on the Internet and scrape off the photos. It is recommended to master the transparency and filling degree of scraping pen brush.

Step 10: Add noise

There are two ways to add noise to film: 1. It is the simplest and most direct to use the noise adding function in the filter directly; 2. After adding the gray layer, use the function of adding noise filter and blurring. This method has many steps, but the effect is slightly better. The second method is used here.

Step 1 1: color balance and color matching.

Use the color balance tool to control the hue of the picture. Because I prefer the feeling that the film is slightly yellow and faded, I made the following adjustments.

Step 12: Color filter mode brightens the picture.

Use layer mode again to fine-tune the brightness of the picture. Here, the color filter mode is used with the mask to highlight some elements.

Step 13: Fine-tune

At this point, you are basically finished. Watch the film again and see what needs to be fine-tuned. Because it still can't reach the desired faint yellowing feeling, the superimposed yellow layer is used again to adjust with the mask.
