Cape Seven was selected as the opening film of Taipei Film Festival in 2008, which is also the world premiere of Cape Seven. This film was released in Taiwan Province Province on August 22nd, 2008.

Cape No.7, which costs NT$ 50 million, is one of the few large-scale productions in Taiwan Province province with long-term downturn and financing difficulties in recent years, but there is not much publicity budget. A considerable proportion of box office initially gained super popularity through BBS and blogs, which was regarded as the miracle of Taiwan Province movies [2]; Then the box office broke through NT$ 50 million before it began to attract the attention of the news media, adding fuel to the fire. At present, the box office of Cape No.7 has exceeded NT$ 400 million, making it the second highest-grossing Taiwan Province national film in the film history of Taiwan Province Province.

With the end of 1945 World War II, the Japanese rule in Taiwan Province also ended. In February, 65438, a Japanese teacher wrote seven love letters word for word to his Taiwan Province schoolgirl and lover, Duan Liyang Kojima. The cover simply reads "Seven Cape Places in Hengchun County, Taiwan Province" and "Kojima, Tomoko", but as they separated from each other to form another family, they became seven love letters that could not be sent.

Today, more than 60 years later, Jia, who used to be the lead singer of Taipei Orchestra, still achieved nothing after playing 10 for many years. One morning, after angrily smashing the electric guitar, she rode back to her hometown in Hengchun Town, the southernmost tip of Taiwan Province Province, and was temporarily taken over by the chairman of the representative meeting (Ajia's stepfather) and became an old postman who could not work due to injury. But Jia was outraged, looked down on everything around her and delivered the letter irresponsibly. Mao Bo gave him a package sent from Japan to "Cape No.7" during the handover. Aga opened it curiously and saw seven Japanese letters. He couldn't understand the contents, so he put them in the corner of the room.

On the other hand, the local restaurant hired Japanese singer Kousuke Atari to perform, but because there was no local orchestra, it was banned by the chairman of the conference. Finally, I was forced to invite a local orchestra to warm up and perform two warm-up songs, but there was no local orchestra at all. A group of army of miscellaneous brands had to assemble a pre-heated rock band: Ma Lao Ajia, the lead singer of Taipei Frustrated Band, the guitarist of divorced aboriginal police, the precocious and eccentric keyboard player Dada, and the drummer apprentice Water Frog of motorcycle shop who likes his wife. The bass player even changed three times: Ma Lao, an old harmonica guitarist who can't actually play the bass, and Mao Bo, an old postman who is known as Qin Yue's "national treasure" but only entertains himself, finally changed.

During the practice, the team sometimes conflicts because of various factors, which seem hopeless: the lead singer of the band who feels that he is overqualified, so he doesn't care or be responsible, the guitarist who wants to sing his own song, the keyboard player who is too self-centered, the bass player who can't play bass at all … and the helpless Japanese female public relations. The team began to practice the first song written by A Jia a few years ago, and gradually became familiar, reconciled and cultivated tacit understanding in the process. However, despite this, the day of the concert is coming, but the second song is gone, and Jia is still unhappy; Tomoko resigned angrily, but was retained by Maobo's invitation. After holding a wedding banquet on the crazy roadside, Naoko Waichuan and Jia, who wanted to give up, suddenly had a one-night stand after drinking and telling each other their hearts. In Aga's room, Tomoko read seven letters Aga left in the corner. The Japanese teacher who wrote those letters has passed away, and his daughter found them and sent them to Taiwan Province Province. Tomoko read the strong thoughts in the letter and urged Aga to deliver the letter.

Although the one-night stand caused embarrassment, Jia cheered up and wrote a second song with the encouragement of Tomoko. At the same time, Tomoko confided her love for Ajia to her mother who was greatly abandoned by Japanese men, and mentioned seven unsent letters she saw when discussing the relationship between Taiwan and Japan. It turns out that the abandoned Duan Liyang Kojima is the grandmother of the great mother. At the prompt of her mother, Jia finally handed these seven letters to the recipients 60 years later, and rushed back in time before the concert was about to start.

Before the concert, Jia finally confessed her true feelings to Tomoko. The warm-up team completed the task and the performance was very popular. Tomoko put on an aboriginal bead chain representing love in front of all the audience, and accepted Ajia's love. In Kousuke Atari and Aga's encore Wild Rose, the performance ended perfectly. At the same time, grandmother Tomoko Kojima caressed seven letters, recalling the scene of leaving the Japanese teacher in the last lyric of Wild Rose 60 years ago.

The plot of the narrative works ends here.

The plot of the narrative works ends here.

In 2004, Taiwan Province media reported that Ding Cangyuan, a postman working in Taixi Post Office in Yunlin County, spent two days to find the recipient of a letter with the old address "Haikou 145- 1 No.,Huwei County, Tainan District, Taiwan Province Province", which became the inspiration for Wei Desheng's screenwriter. At the end of 2006, Wei Desheng gave a briefing on the counseling fund in the Information Bureau, and the evaluation of Cape No.7 passed with the highest score. Shooting started in Ximending, Taipei on September 30th, 2007, and ended in Hengchun on June 20th, 2007. In order to make the actors who are mostly musicians have confidence in filming, they will shoot the scene of the last concert first to grasp the feeling in front of the camera; The Ximending scene at the beginning of the film is the last scene taken back to Taipei after all the scenes of Hengchun.

When shooting in Hengchun in the south, it was attacked by Corroza, a strong station. The southwest airflow after the typhoon made it difficult to shoot on the beach stage outside Kenting Hotel, and finally it cleared up when shooting the concert scene.

The scene of the film hotel was shot in Kending Xiadu Hotel, and the scenes of Binglang Street and Market taken by the model were all shot in an underwater cabin in Fangliao Township, Pingtung County. Late at night after the wedding reception, I photographed the night scene of this group of people during the day on the drunken coast, and then completed the digital dimming. Tomoko greeted Kousuke Atari at the airport, and Tomoko bought colored beads for the band members. This scene was shot at Kaohsiung International Airport.

As for the visual effects, the small-scale model ship was originally used to take pictures of the ship "Gaoshamalu" sailing at sea. After careful calculation, I failed to take into account the continuous downhill wind in spring and summer, and returned to Taipei to shoot again. Finally, the model ship was not enough, so it was decided to combine CG production. Part of the dock is set in Taichung Winery, part of the boat is shot in the shed, and then two pictures are combined into special effects. The scene of the ship leaving the port was refuted by the lack of funds, and the director still insisted on completing it to reproduce the end of the war in 1945 [3].

In terms of funds, "Cape Seven" sometimes faces the problem of stopping filming due to lack of funds. When Hengchun went to the location, there was a shortage of funds, leaving only 500,000 Taiwan dollars. Finally, he got a loan guaranteed by director Wei Desheng to the bank [4]. The production cost of Cape Seven is NT$ 50 million. Among them, 5 million yuan is the counseling fund of the Information Bureau [5], the filmmaker contributed10.5 million yuan, and the director Wei Desheng himself raised 30 million yuan by mortgage [6].

About seven love letters

The first letter:

19451February 25th

Tomoko, the sun has completely sunk into the sea.

I really can't see the island of Taiwan Province Province at all.

Are you still standing there waiting for me?

Tomoko,

Please forgive me for being such a coward.

Never dare to admit our love.

I even forgot.

How did I get hooked on that guy who didn't cut his hair according to the rules?

The girl who makes me angry.

Tomoko

You are stubborn and unreasonable, and you love to play and love fashion.

I'm so crazy about you.

It's just that you finally graduated.

We were defeated.

I am the son of a defeated country.

The pride of the nobility instantly degenerated into a prisoner's cangue.

I'm just a poor teacher

Why should we bear the sins of a nation?

The fate of the times is the evil of the times.

I'm just a poor teacher

I love you, but I have to give you up.

The second letter:

the third day

How to restrain myself from thinking about you?

You are a student who grew up in the sunny south.

I am a teacher who has crossed the sea from the snowy north.

We are so different.

Why do you love each other so much?

I miss the sun … I miss the hot air …

I still remember you being annoyed by red ants.

I know I shouldn't laugh at you.

But you look good when you step on red ants.

It's like stepping on a wonderful dance step.

Angry, fierce, slightly playful …

Tomoko, that's when I fell in love with you …

I hope there will be a storm at this time.

Drowned me in the sea between Taiwan Province Province and Japan.

So I'm not responsible for my cowardice.

The third letter:

Tomoko

It's only a few days' flight.

The crying brought by the sea breeze made me old a lot.

I don't want to leave the deck and I don't want to sleep.

I made a calculation in my mind.

Once I land,

I never want to see the sea again.

Why does the sea breeze always bring tears?

Lovers cry, married people cry and children cry.

I always cry when I think of your future happiness.

Only my tears.

It's always blown dry by the sea breeze before it comes out.

Crying without tears makes me old.

Damn wind

Damn moonlight

Damn sea

The fourth letter:

The sea in December is always angry.

I endure the stench of shame and regret.

Wandering with anxiety.

I don't understand whether I have returned to China or not.

Or leave home!

In the evening, it has entered the Sea of Japan.

I have a splitting headache during the day.

Damn fog

Blocked my view all day.

The starlight is really beautiful now.

Remember when you were a first-year girl in middle school?

A rural legend that dares to eat the moon with dogs.

To challenge my astronomical theory of eclipse?

Tell me another theory that is not afraid of your challenge.

You know the starlight we see now.

From a planet hundreds of millions of light-years away

At launch?

Wow, hundreds of millions of light years.

We just saw it now.

Hundreds of millions of light-years away, Taiwan Province Province Island and Japanese Island.

What is it like?

Mountain or mountain, sea or sea

But no one was there.

I want to see more stars.

In this changeable world.

I want to see eternity.

I met a group of mullets going to Taiwan Province Province for the winter.

I give my love for you to one of them.

I hope your fisherman's father can catch it.

Tomoko, despite his bitter taste.

You must try, too.

You will understand. ...

I'm not abandoning you, I'm reluctant to part with you.

I kept whispering on the sleeping deck.

I'm not abandoning you, I'm reluctant to part with you.

The fifth letter

It's dawn, but what does it matter?

Anyway, the sun will always bring thick fog.

A pre-dawn trance

I see you in the future, and your youth is gone.

You will be bald and drooping in the future.

The morning mist covered the wrinkles on my forehead like snow.

The sun is like a flame, burning your black hair.

The last residual heat in your heart and mine is completely withered.

Tomoko …

Please forgive my useless body.

The sixth letter

The seawater temperature is 16 degrees.

Wind speed 12 knots, water depth of 97 meters.

Several seabirds have been seen.

We expect to land before dusk tomorrow.

Tomoko …

I'll leave you all my photo albums in Taiwan Province Province.

Leave it to your mother.

But I stole one of them.

The one where you played in the water by the sea.

There is no wind or rain in the sea in the photo.

You in the photo, laughing like you are in heaven.

No matter who your future belongs to.

No one deserves you.

I thought I could pack up my good memories.

Only to find that all I can take away is nothingness.

I really miss you!

Ah, rainbow!

I hope the two ends of the rainbow

Enough to cross the ocean and connect me with you.

The seventh letter

Tomoko, I have landed safely.

A seven-day voyage

I finally set foot on my deserted land after the war.

But I'm starting to miss the sea.

Why does this ocean always stand?

The two extremes of hope and extinction

This is my last letter.

I'll post the letter later.

There is no room for the ocean of love.

At least there is room for lovesickness!

Tomoko, you must accept my lovesickness.

So that you can forgive me a little.

I think I will remember you in my heart for the rest of my life.

Even if you get married and have children,

At an important turning point in life

It will definitely appear. ...

You ran away from home with heavy luggage.

You stand alone in the repatriating crowd.

You're wearing that ...

I saved a lot of money to buy a white knitted hat.

So I can find you in the crowd!

I saw it ... I saw it. ...

You stand still.

You are like the scorching sun in July.

I dare not look at you again.

You stand so quietly.

My intentionally cold heart was suddenly ignited.

I'm sad, but I dare not show my regret.

I muttered to myself, but my mouth was silent.

I know, I miss this vulgar word.

Will be like a shadow in the sun

I run, he chases … I chase, he escapes …

all one's life

I will pretend that you have forgotten me.

Pretend you put your past with mine.

Migrate from memory like migratory birds.

Pretend that you have gone through the cold winter to welcome spring.

I'll pretend ...

Until I thought everything was true!

then ...

I wish you happiness forever!
