Lingyin Temple, located in Xihu District, Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province, China, is one of the most famous Buddhist temples in southern China and one of the important cradles of Zen Buddhism. It was built in the Xianhe period of the Eastern Jin Dynasty and has a history of nearly 1800 years. It is one of the ancestral halls of Lin Jizong.
