Where are the small train in Weiyuan Coal Mine and the narrow gauge railway in Huangni section?
The narrow gauge railway in Huangni section of Weiyuan Coal Mine is known as "the industrial landscape of age of steam" and "the living fossil in the depths of mountains".
Huangjinggou Town, Weiyuan County, Sichuan Province produces high-quality coal. 19 10 years, the British came to Huangjinggou with coal mining technology, which opened the prelude to coal mining in remote towns. 1958, the former Weiyuan coal mine built a narrow-gauge railway with a total length of 7.2 kilometers in two years. 196 1 year, the mine purchased more than 10 small steam locomotives from Shijiazhuang power machinery, and started the process of driving small trains in the mountains.
Weiyuan small train has a load of 8 tons per wagon, a supporting gauge of 76 cm, and a speed of only 15 km per hour. According to relevant records, in the heyday of Mei Wei coal industry in 1960s and 1970s, there were 10 small trains at Huangjinggou Railway Station, each with more than 20 wagons, 5 buses and 4 flatbed trucks, which ran 4 to 6 times a day. It is the main means of transportation for more than 20,000 miners, their families and town residents in Weiyuan Coal Mine, and it is also the transportation lifeline of Weiyuan Coal Mine. It has been running for 46 years. At that time, there was a saying that there was no Weiyuan coal. "The trains in Sichuan can't turn over the Qinling Mountains, and the steel mills in Chongqing can't make steel!" In the mid-1990s, I heard that there are still running steam trains in Weiyuan Coal Mine in Sichuan, China, and many foreign friends came here to watch the products of the industrial revolution more than 200 years ago. Things are human, and stars are human. With the depletion of coal resources in mines and the sharp drop in output, the output of less than 10 thousand tons per month can only barely maintain the capacity of one train a day. Moreover, this small train has been discontinued for a long time, and there are no spare parts on the market, so it is very difficult to maintain it normally. As a last resort, Weiyuan narrow gauge train stopped running in June 2007.
Weiyuan train has witnessed the ups and downs of Sichuan coal industry for more than a century, solidified the brilliance created by generations of Mei Wei people with wisdom and sweat, and is also the best witness to the industrial process. It is said that this may be one of the only two small-inch-gauge steam trains left in the world, and the other is the Jiayang small train in Qianwei County, Leshan. Weiyuan small train is vividly called "the living landscape of the original ecological industrial revolution" and "/kloc-the living museum of the industrial revolution in the 9th century". The local government has been paying close attention. In 2006, Weiyuan county government designated Huangjinggou small train and Huangni narrow gauge railway as county-level cultural relics protection units. In July, 20 1 1 was listed as the third batch of municipal cultural relics protection units in Neijiang city. Recently, it was listed in the eighth batch of provincial cultural relics protection units in Sichuan Province. Weiyuan County Government and David Company of Sichuan Coal Group (formerly Weiyuan Coal Mine) reached a * * * understanding, and the government and enterprises joined hands to protect the small train as a local tourism resource to preserve this special scenery for the world.
Protection scope: within the fence of the station, 5 meters on both sides of the railway track in Huangni section.
Construction control zone: extension of protection scope10m.
