Feeding technology and disease prevention of piglet raccoon dog
1. Choose a place with flat terrain, sunny leeward, quiet and good drainage. First, build a platform 0.4 ~ 0.6 meters above the ground with masonry. There are rows of cages on the stage. The length, width and height of the cage are 120cm× 90cm× 80cm, and there are food basins and drinking fountains inside. Because the weasel badger has a strong living ability, it is not necessary to keep warm strictly, just keep out wind, snow, rain and direct sunlight, and a shed cover can be added to the cage.
2. Feed Weasels and Badgers are omnivores. Under natural living conditions, they mainly eat three kinds of food: first, wild fruits, such as walnuts and hawthorn; Second, plant roots, such as potatoes and radishes; Third, animals, such as mice, rabbits, insects, earthworms and small fish, shrimps and crabs. Refer to the diet formula under the condition of artificial domestication: ① Animal feed, such as meat, chicken, fish and rabbit viscera, accounts for 40%, cereal feed, such as corn, beans and bran, accounts for 56%, and vegetables account for 3%; ② Non-breeding period: animal feed can account for 20% ~ 30%.
3. Scientific feeding to achieve "three decisions": in a certain period of time. Feed/kloc-0 times a day, usually at 6 ~ 8 pm; Two quantifiers. With the change of age, adult badgers feed about 300 grams a day; Three glasses of water. Provide enough clean water for badgers to drink freely.
4. To strengthen badger breeding, we should focus on the "four levels": First, the temperature. Badger cubs are usually born in April. Although it is early summer, the weather in the north is not suitable for the temperature needed by badger cubs. Therefore, the temperature in the litter box should be kept at 25℃ ~ 30℃. The second is breast milk. Because the young badger grows on breast milk, the young badger grows fast, so it is necessary to improve the nutritional level of the female badger's diet, and the animal feed should reach 50% ~ 55% to ensure the normal milk production of the female badger. The third is silence. Badgers are timid and afraid of being scared. Therefore, during the lactation period, especially in the early stage, it is necessary to disturb them less to prevent the female badger from eating her baby. The fourth is grouping. Badger cubs grow fast, are hairless at birth, weigh about 60g in 6 days, 10 day 100g, 14 day 135g, and can live independently in 60 days. Therefore, badger cubs are raised separately from female badgers at 60 days.
5. Strict epidemic prevention and disease eradication adhere to the "two mornings": early prevention without disease. Clean the cage every day and rinse the food and water containers before feeding; Disinfect regularly in summer, and it is forbidden to feed moldy and deteriorated feed; Second, treat the disease early. Badger has strong disease resistance, but under the condition of artificial domestication, common diseases such as enteritis and pneumonia have been found, and should be treated in time once found.
