What is polyurethane sole?
Polyurethane is the abbreviation of polyurethane, and its English name is polyurethane, also known as PU.
It is a polymer with repeating structural units of urethane segments made by the reaction of isocyanate and polyol.
It is a polymer material, foamed from A/B/C polyester material, and is divided into oil-based and water-based.
It is an emerging organic polymer material, known as the "fifth largest plastic", and is mostly used to manufacture high-end leather shoes, sports shoes, travel shoes, etc.
Polyurethane soles?
Compared with ordinary rubber soles, polyurethane soles have the characteristics of light weight and good wear resistance.
It uses polyurethane resin as the main raw material, which solves the problem that domestic plastic soles and recycled rubber soles are easy to break, and the rubber sole is easy to deglue.
By adding various additives, polyurethane soles have been greatly improved in terms of wear resistance, oil resistance, electrical insulation, anti-static and acid and alkali resistance.
Characteristics of polyurethane soles
Low density, soft texture, good elasticity, comfortable and light to wear;
The adhesive rate and comfort are better than rubber soles and beef soles Rib base;
Good dimensional stability, long storage life;
Good wear resistance and flex resistance, high hardness;
Shock absorption, anti-slip Excellent performance;
Better temperature resistance;
Good chemical resistance;
Easy to corrode, environmentally friendly, not easy to wrinkle, etc.
Performances of polyurethane soles
1. Various bubbles will be formed in polyurethane soles during production. They are elastic, light, wear-resistant, fold-resistant, oil-resistant, chemical-resistant, and water-resistant. Corrosion and other characteristics.
PU shoe materials based on microporous polyurethane elastomer are soft to the touch, comfortable to wear, warm, elastic, shockproof and anti-slip.
2. Polyurethane soles are divided into encrypted and foamed types.
The encrypted polyurethane sole is very light, moderately soft and hard, hand-made, wear-resistant, easy to maintain, and not easy to open and break.
Foamed polyurethane base has few ingredients, so it is naturally very soft, but it is not wear-resistant and is not easy to be glued. Once the glue is glued, it cannot be repaired.
3. Polyurethane soles are widely used in the production of casual shoes, sports shoes, work shoes, sandals, travel shoes, men's and women's leather shoes, protective shoes, etc.
Adhesive is used to bond the polyurethane sole and shoe upper together. Because it is light, the degumming rate is lower than that of rubber soles.
4. Polyurethane soles are divided into high, medium and low-end.
High-density polyurethane soles have strict requirements from formula to process to production. After the shoes leave the factory, they have a shelf life of up to 5 years.
Shoes with such soles are mostly high-end shoes.
The shelf life of polyurethane soles used in mid- to low-priced shoes is about half a year.
The soles of these shoes are not glued, but are sewn together. Their durability is not as good as the former, and they will break like tofu after being worn for a long time.
