Zhangjiajie Scenic Area is located in northwest Hunan, in the upper reaches of Lishui River, in the hinterland of Wuling Mountains, and is one of the most important tourist attractions in China.

In September 1982, Zhangjiajie National Forest Park was a "World Geopark" and "China's First National Forest Park". It was also the prototype of Hallelujah Mountain and the fantasy Pandora in the movie "Avatar" Where the world is.

The natural scenery of Zhangjiajie Forest Park is known for its peaks, valleys and forests. There are more than 3,000 strange peaks among them. These stone peaks are like people, animals, utensils and objects. They are lifelike and magnificent.

In the canyons between the peaks, streams gurgling and shade blocks out the sun. It is known as "Three Thousand Wonderful Peaks and Eight Hundred Beautiful Waters".

In August 1988, Wulingyuan was included in the second batch of 40 key scenic spots in the country.

In 1992, Wulingyuan Natural Scenic Area, which consists of three major scenic areas: Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, Suoxiyu Scenic Area, and Tianzi Mountain Scenic Area, was included in the World Natural Heritage List by UNESCO.

Zhangjiajie Scenic Area will launch preferential policies from this year to next year.

From June 1, 2022 to May 31, 2023, Zhangjiajie City’s A-level scenic spots will provide free admission to the scenic spots for members of the Photographers Association and the Artists Association at the provincial level and above. Tickets are free with ID card.

For members of the Municipal Photographers Association and the Artists Association, free admission to the scenic spot multiple times within one year after purchasing a ticket within the above specified time period is implemented.
