Maonan district tourism

Maonan District has national 4A-level tourist attractions, Maoming Forest Park, Aotou Ancient Town, Taohua Island in Aotou Water Town, Hui Ling Temple in Mansion, Fudejing, memory of time Treasures and dinosaur egg cultural landscape.

The main scenic spots planned for development are Zhensheng Youth Lake, Shan Ge Hot Springs, Maoming Lotte Hotel, Maonan Wetland Park, Maoming tilapia breeding popular science tourism demonstration base, Mafeiyuan pepper agricultural sightseeing tourism demonstration base, Yanshan Ecological Folk Custom Park, Fenglige Tianxia Farmhouse, Maoming Daxi Water Town Customs Tourist Area, Meihua Beidou Bay Ecological Farmhouse and Baili River Embankment Ecological Landscape Corridor. Guangdong Maoming Forest Park is a national 4A-level tourist attraction and the only provincial forest park in Maoming. The park is located in the western suburb of Maonan District, Maoming City, with a distance of 12km from the urban area. The overall planning of the park is based on the principle of "giving priority to forests, introducing new, exotic and extra tropical plants from South Asia and giving priority to popular science education", and it is divided into forest leisure areas, popular science education areas and cultural and entertainment areas.

Aotou ancient town

Aotou Ancient Town was founded in the Hongwu period of Ming Dynasty, with a history of more than 500 years. It is an ancient town with profound historical and cultural heritage and a famous old revolutionary base area in Maoming. There are many cultural relics in Aotou Town, including Wendi Temple, Guanyin Pavilion, Duoshantang, Gu Jing, Ancient Yamen, Southeast Ancient City Gate, Four Pawnshops and so on.

Taohua Island in Aotou Watertown

Taohua Island is a small island on the picturesque Meihua River in Aotou Town. Peach Blossom Island has an ancient and beautiful legend. There is a precious revolutionary cultural relic in the old district of Aotou-"Revolutionary Ship" on the island. According to records, in the middle and late 1940s, the China underground party built this ship in order to facilitate the frequent escort of underground party leaders and members of the Pegasus Armed Forces to the Peach Blossom Island in the middle of the river for revolutionary activities. The ship also transported the sick and wounded to Taohua Island for many times to avoid the enemy, which made great contributions to the revolutionary cause. Therefore, the ship was praised as a "revolutionary ship" by local people. With the completion of the "Revolutionary Ship" monument, Taohua Island has become a revolutionary traditional education base.

Hui Ling Temple

Hui Ling Temple, an ancient temple in the Tang Dynasty, was built in 7 14 and was destroyed in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. It is a temple with a long history in western Guangdong, and it is one of the largest jungles in western Guangdong after completion. The abbot of Liuzu Temple hopes that the monk will undertake the reconstruction of Hui Ling Temple in 2004 at the request of the majority of believers. Bir Fude

Fude Well is a sacred place for villagers to worship God and pray. It is located next to the ancient banyan tree in the southwest of Waling Village, Shan Ge Town, Maonan District, Maoming City, Guangdong Province.

According to legend, in the south of Maoming County in the Qing Dynasty, there was a place where Zeng lived and burned tiles for business, called Wayaoling (now Waling, a town in the northeast of Maonan District), where a banyan tree (now an ancient banyan tree) grew. One day, a suspected triangle stone (called sacred stone) appeared under the tree, and three incense sticks were lit in front of it. Since then, local residents have worshipped gods here, and since then, they have prayed for blessing, and admirers and Ding have flourished. So local residents raised funds to build a Fude well (temple) next to the ancient banyan tree and put the sacred stone into the temple for worship.

Age memory collection museum

The collection of chronological memory is located in the home of Zhang Xi, a villager in Huang Zhu Village, Gaoshan Town, Maonan District. The collection in this farm yard is huge and dazzling, focusing on "the memory of China's revolution and social life changes" and "exotic bonsai" full of garden flavor. The collection of time memory includes a full set of founding stamps, the first generation of red radio, the first generation of pocket watches, clothes carts imported from abroad in the Qing Dynasty, wooden looms in the Qing Dynasty, blue-and-white porcelain in folk kilns, early communication equipment and appliances, coins of past dynasties, bamboo slips, books and newspapers, straw bags, sacks, cereal barrels, farm tools and other early production and daily necessities, a large number of New Year pictures during the Cultural Revolution, series pictures of people's heroic deeds and various early rare tickets.
