Xining-Lhasa section of Qinghai-Tibet Highway needs to cross Kunlun Mountain, Tanggula Mountain, Nyainqentanglha Mountain, Jade Everest, Chuma River, Wudaoliang, Tuotuo, Yanshiping, Sanjiangyuan, Wetland, Grassland, Cuona Lake and other unparalleled magnificent landscapes. First stop: Xining

Xining, as the capital of Qinghai Province, is a small city. Ta 'er Temple and Qinghai Lake are the must-see places, as well as Dongguan Mosque, Ma Bufang Mansion, Mojia Street and Beichan Temple. Second stop: Golmud

From Xining to Golmud City, Golmud is located in the west of Qinghai Province and the hinterland of Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. The urban area is located in the alluvial plain of Golmud River in the south-central part of Qaidam Basin, which belongs to the plateau continental climate. Golmud is rich in tourism resources, with unique natural landscapes such as the source of the Yangtze River, Zhang Wan Yanqiao, Snow Mountain Glacier, Kunlun Snow Scene, Sunrise in the Han Sea and Desert Forest.

Third stop: Naqu

Leave Golmud and continue along the Qinghai-Tibet line. You can also visit Nyainqentanglha Mountain, Tuotuo River and other scenic spots along the way. The next stop is Tibet, and the first stop is Naqu. Naqu County is located in the north-central part of Xizang Autonomous Region, between Tanggula Mountain and Nyainqentanglha Mountain. With an average elevation of 4,500m, the famous scenic spots here include Nyainqentanglha Mountain, Qiangtang Grassland, Dangrang Yongcuo, Daguo Snow Mountain and Gladin Cave Snow Mountain.

Fourth stop: Dangxiong

After leaving Naqu, you can reach Dangxiong County with complicated landform. The Qinghai-Tibet Highway runs through Dangxiong County from east to west. In the northern part of Dangxiong County, there are the largest lakes in Tibet-Namtso Lake, the watershed of Yarlung Zangbo River and Nujiang River-Nyainqentanglha Mountain, Eight Pagodas in northern Tibet and other scenic spots. Dangxiong's famous snacks are: crisp cheese cake, Tibetan sauerkraut soup, Tibetan beef and mutton, etc.

Fifth stop: Lhasa

You will soon arrive in the holy city of Lhasa after leaving Dangxiong. Needless to say, many people are coming for Potala Palace, but don't forget.
