This is mainly due to the four high-speed rail lines that have been opened so far - Hangzhou-Ningbo, Nanjing-Hangzhou, Shanghai-Hangzhou and Hangzhou-Changchang. The Hangzhou-Huangzhou high-speed railway is under construction and is expected to be opened in October 2018. This high-speed railway connects Fuyang, Tonglu, Jiande and Chun'an. Citizens in these districts, counties (cities) can also enjoy the convenience brought by high-speed rail. In this revision of the railway hub, Hangzhou will introduce 6 new high-speed rail lines, allowing citizens and tourists to visit more cities by taking high-speed rail from Hangzhou in a shorter time.

Shanghai-Hangzhou High-speed Railway (Huzhou-Hangzhou Western Section)

The Shang-Hangzhou High-speed Railway will be introduced into Hangzhou West Station and will be connected with the Hangzhou-Huangzhou High-speed Railway after leaving the station, forming the Shanghai-Kunming High-speed Railway in Zhejiang The second channel within the province. This means that in the near future, residents in the west part of Hangzhou can directly take high-speed rail to cities such as Hefei and Shangqiu.

Hangzhou-Wenzhou High-speed Railway

After the Hangzhou-Wenzhou High-speed Railway is completed, it will only take about one hour from Hangzhou to Wenzhou, which is half the time now. Currently, the Yiwu-Wenzhou section of the Hangzhou-Wenzhou high-speed railway has started construction. What is newly introduced in Hangzhou this time is the Hangzhou West-Yiwu section. According to the plan, after exiting Yiwu Station, it will cross the Qiantang River in Fuyang to the north and be introduced into Hangzhou West Station via Fuyang West Station.

Hangzhou-Shaoxing-Taizhou High-speed Railway

After the completion of the Hangzhou-Shaoxing-Taizhou High-speed Railway, it will only take one hour from Hangzhou to Taizhou, but now it takes about two hours. More importantly, once completed, citizens from Shengzhou, Xinchang, Tiantai and other cities will be able to take the high-speed rail to Hangzhou. After the Hangzhou-Shaoxing-Taiwan High-speed Railway reaches Hangzhou, it is divided into three directions: one is to reach Hangzhou East Railway Station via Hangzhou South Railway Station; the other is to connect to the Shanghai-Hangzhou High-speed Railway Double Line (Shanghai-Zhao-Hangzhou High-speed Railway) via Jiangdong Passage to Shanghai Hongqiao (Pudong); the third is to pass through The Shanghai-Zhaha-Hangzhou high-speed railway connection line is introduced into Hangzhou West Station.

Shanghai-Zhahang High-speed Railway and Shanghai-Hangzhou Intercity (Shanghai-Hangzhou High-speed Railway Double Line)

It is very convenient to go from Hangzhou to Shanghai, taking about one hour by high-speed rail. However, to go from Hangzhou to Pudong Airport, you have to go to Shanghai Hongqiao and then take the Shanghai subway, which is not convenient. After the Shanghai-Zhahang high-speed railway is completed, you can take the high-speed railway directly to Pudong Airport from Hangzhou West Railway Station or Xiaoshan Airport Station. The Shanghai-Hangzhou high-speed railway currently operates more than 130 times, and the transportation pressure is very high. Therefore, in addition to building the Shanghai-Zhahang high-speed railway diversion, the Shanghai-Hangzhou intercity (Shanghai-Hangzhou high-speed railway double line) has also been reserved from Hangzhou to Shanghai, and the direction is the same as the existing one. The Shanghai-Hangzhou high-speed railway is basically the same, with the introduction of Hangzhou East Railway Station.

Hangzhou-Lin'an High-speed Railway (Hangzhou-Wuhan High-speed Railway)

After the Hangzhou-Huangzhou high-speed railway opens to traffic next year, Lin'an will be the only one in Hangzhou that does not have high-speed rail. The introduction of the Hangzhou-Lin'an high-speed rail has made up for Lin'an's transportation shortcomings and achieved full coverage of Hangzhou city high-speed rail. According to the plan, the Hangzhou-Linji high-speed railway will lead from Hangzhou West Railway Station, pass through Lin'an to Jixi North Railway Station in Anhui Province, and connect with Changjinghuang, Chihuang and other high-speed railways to form high-speed railway channels from Hangzhou to Wuhan and Hangzhou to Nanchang, which can then connect Xi'an, Chongqing, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Hong Kong and other places. After these high-speed railways are completed and opened to traffic, Hangzhou will be connected to nine directions including Shanghai, Nanjing (Beijing), Hefei, Huangshan, Wuhan, Nanchang, Wenzhou, Taizhou, and Ningbo, and the time to reach many cities will be greatly shortened.

For example, it only takes about 3 hours to take the high-speed rail from Hangzhou to Wuhan, which is about half the time now; you can also take the high-speed rail directly from Hangzhou to Hong Kong, which takes only 6 hours at the fastest; after the Shang-Hangzhou high-speed rail is completed, From the west of Hangzhou, you can go directly to Beijing.

In addition, the opening of the Hangzhou-Linji high-speed railway is also a great benefit to Ningbo. High-speed trains departing from Ningbo can enter Hangzhou West Station through the connection line, thus opening up high-speed rail channels to the west in the coastal areas of Zhejiang.
