The Significance of Guilin International Tourism Resort

As early as 2009, the country put forward the goal of building Guilin into an international tourist destination. At the end of 2009, "Several Opinions of the State Council on Further Promoting Guangxi's Economic and Social Development" was issued, in which it was proposed that Guilin should build an international tourism destination, a national pilot zone for comprehensive tourism reform, an international tourism destination and a tourism distribution center, and form a pattern of three national pilot zones for comprehensive tourism reform in Hainan, Yunnan and Guilin.

A brokerage research report pointed out that with the approval of the Outline for the Construction and Development of Guilin International Tourism Resort as an opportunity, local listed tourism companies in Guilin are expected to expand their existing business scope, accelerate the further integration of scenic resources and improve the profitability of scenic spots.
