What language is Singapore?

Singapore has four official languages, namely English, Malay, Chinese and Tamil.

1. Malay. Malay is one of the earliest official languages in Singapore and the national language of Singapore. In Singapore, Malay is mainly used in public services, government documents, legal documents, education, media and social occasions. Malay speakers are mainly Malays and other immigrants from Malaysia.

2. English. English is the second official language of Singapore and the common language of international communication. 4. Tamil. Tamil is one of the four official languages in Singapore and the official language of Tamil Nadu in South India. In Singapore, Tamil is mainly used in Indian communities, media and social activities. Although the use of Tamil is relatively small, it still plays an important role in the Indian community in Singapore.
