Architectural conception of Guangzhou international convention and exhibition center

The architectural design of Guangzhou International Convention and Exhibition Center is based on the wind from the Pearl River, highlighting the "floating" personality of the building, symbolizing that the warm wind of the Pearl River blows across the earth, making the Convention and Exhibition Center, a carrier of high technology and modern culture, float on the south bank of the Pearl River in Guangzhou, giving the static building a "floating" formal beauty. It contains the dynamic development and evolution of commodity technology, which makes architecture have multiple meanings of "non-architecture" and brings a new kind of tourism and leisure to Guangzhou citizens. In design, Guangzhou International Convention and Exhibition Center is a modern intelligent building that pays attention to building energy saving and indoor and outdoor ecological environment, and integrates architectural art and modern technology. The streamlined design of "low in the north and high in the south gradually" is adopted. A 40-meter-wide and nearly 450-meter-long "Pearl River Corridor" not only divides the interior of the convention and exhibition center into two parts, but also is a multi-functional channel that harmoniously connects the north and south venues and the upper and lower floors. Walking into the "Pearl River Corridor", people can enjoy the unique palm trees and the scenery on both sides of the Pearl River by leaning against the escalator window, or talk with friends in cafes and leisure areas.

There are 8 exhibition halls on the first floor, 5 exhibition halls on the fourth floor and 3 exhibition halls on the overhead floor, totaling 16 exhibition halls. The Pearl River Corridor is an indoor communication space, with a width of 30 meters and a length of 450 meters, which spans the east and west and uses the Pearl River landscape.
