Shanghai Tourism Festival was founded in 1990, and its activities began on a Saturday in September every year, lasting more than 20 days, covering nearly 40 projects in several categories, such as sightseeing, leisure, entertainment, culture and sports, exhibitions, food and shopping, attracting more than 8 million tourists every year. Shanghai Tourism Festival is co-sponsored by Shanghai Tourism Bureau, Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Film and Television and Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce. It is the largest and most influential large-scale tourism festival in China. Shanghai Tourism Festival takes "People's Festival" as its orientation and "Entering Beauty and Joy" as its theme. Through the colorful and distinctive festival activities in various districts and counties in Shanghai, we will publicize the requirements of the "Belt and Road" strategy for the development of tourism and attract strong support and extensive participation from all walks of life.
