So in the seventh year of Chunyou, Emperor Lizong of the Southern Song Dynasty, that is, 1247 AD, he came here with his family and began to settle down.

It is also recorded in the "Guifeng Cai Family Genealogy": "Cai Xiang, the sixth grandson of Cai Xiang, in the first year of Jingkang of Emperor Qinzong of the Song Dynasty (1126 AD), because he avoided the disaster of Jing Bian, the prime minister of the clan (Cai), You moved from Pu to the mouth of Baiyehuangkeng in Zhangxi, the Seventeenth Capital, and became the ancestor of Youxi's branch. When they first arrived, they initially named the village "Lingtou". Later, by the early Yuan Dynasty, the number of descendants had increased rapidly, and agricultural productivity was also very high. With the improvement, it is possible to open up wasteland and build villages on a large scale.

Many sweet-scented osmanthus trees were planted in the village, so the name of the village was changed to "Guiling".

In the early Hongwu years of the Ming Dynasty, Youxi was divided into 50 capitals, and Guiling was the central village of 16 capitals. With this ratio, you can imagine how fast it developed.

With the increase in population and continuous economic development, the Cai family has begun to pursue higher spiritual and cultural levels. The descendants of the Cai family followed the ancestral motto of "farming, reading and inheriting the family, and learning through history and making a name for the world".
