What should I pay attention to when I travel to Sweden and apply for a Swedish tourist visa?

1. Sweden is a Schengen country. The period of stay for issuing Schengen visas generally does not exceed 90 days.

2. China citizens who travel to several Schengen countries at the same time shall submit visa applications to embassies and consulates in China, the main destination country. If the main destination country cannot be determined, it should be submitted to embassies and consulates in China, the country with the longest stay in China. When the visit duration of each Schengen agreement country is equal, it shall be submitted to embassies and consulates in China, the first country of entry.

Ordinary passport holders must submit their visa applications in person at the embassy or consulate.

All visa application materials must be translated into English or Swedish.

5. It is necessary to purchase medical insurance for accidental injury covering the whole travel period, in which medical care and medical rescue guarantee are at least 30,000 euros.

6. Make a decision within 15 working days after submitting the application. For individual applications, it can be extended to 30 working days.

7. If the application has been submitted, the embassy will regard it as a complete application and start processing it immediately. Please ensure that all required documents are submitted at the same time when submitting the application (see the list of documents required under the relevant visa types).

8. If the visa is refused, the visa fee will not be refunded, but you can appeal.

9. All submitted application materials shall be accompanied by photocopies.
