At about 11:50 in the middle of the night, the rescue team found a light on the south side of the main peak of Baishanzu, so they followed the light and found two college students 1.5 kilometers south of the main peak of Baishanzu.

The rescuers took the two college students down the mountain and sent them to a hotel in Chegen Village for resettlement. The police from the police station criticized and educated the two college students for their reckless behavior and notified the school they attended. According to the police from Baishanzu Police Station in Qingyuan County, walking on the Qianba Line is actually prohibited for tourists.
