Why bomb Tangjiashan dammed lake?
Sese L.
A dammed lake is a lake formed by a landslide caused by volcanic lava flow or earthquake activity blocking a river valley or river bed to store water. The lake formed by the interception of lava flow is also called lava dammed lake.
It must be emphasized that the blockage in the dammed lake is not fixed forever, but will also be washed away, eroded, dissolved, collapsed and so on. Once the blockage is destroyed, the lake overflows and pours down, causing floods, which is extremely dangerous.
Once the dammed lake poses a threat, it must be drained or dredged by manual excavation, blasting and river closure. In advance, make it flow into the mainstream basin or disperse into the reservoir to avoid flooding.
1, original water system.
2. The original water system was blocked. The blockage may be volcanic lava flow, landslide, debris flow or other substances caused by earthquake activity.
3. After the river valley and river bed are blocked, the flowing water will gather and overflow around.
When the water is stored to a certain extent, it will form a dammed lake.
Common areas of dammed lakes
The dammed lakes formed by landslides are mostly found in the valleys in southeast Tibet, and they are very recent. For example, a lake with a length of 24-80km and a depth of 122 m was formed in the northwest of Simla 18 19. Yigongcuo in bomi county, southeast Tibet, was formed because of the earthquake at 1990. The earthquake broke out and blocked the Zhalongqiu River. Guxiangcuo in bomi county was blocked by glacier debris flow at 1953, which is actually a glacial lake. Ranwucuo, basu county, was caused by 1959 rainstorm, which caused the landslide in the valley.
Earthquakes often occur in Taiwan Province Province. 194 10 a strong earthquake occurred in the northeast of chiayi, causing landslides, blocking the eastward flow of the turbid water stream, and forming a dam with a height of 100m in the stream at an altitude of 580m. After the river was interrupted, the upstream stream was stagnant for 10 months.
The latest dammed lake was caused by the Wenchuan earthquake on May 12, 2008.
Harm of dammed lake
The blocks in the dammed lake are not fixed forever, but will also be washed away, eroded, dissolved, collapsed and so on. Once the blockage is destroyed, the lake overflows and pours down, causing floods, which is extremely dangerous. A dammed lake refers to a lake formed by landslides caused by earthquakes and other reasons, blocking river valleys or riverbeds and storing water.
Once the dammed lake (Haizi) formed in the disaster area breaks its banks, the consequences are very serious.
With the continuous occurrence of secondary disasters, the water level of the dammed lake (Haizi) may rise rapidly, and a big flood may occur at any time.
Once the dammed lake (Haizi) bursts, it will form a flood peak downstream, which is as destructive as a disaster.
An example of a lava barrier lake
333 17 of Old Wudalianchi in Northeast China is called Bird Neighboring Pool. It is located in the suburb of Wudalianchi, upstream of Baihe River, a tributary of Nanor River, only 30.0km north of Xiaoxing 'anling. It is named after the basalt lava flows from two volcanoes, Laoheishan and Yamakaji, which connect five small lakes and block the water flow.
The volcanic activity of Wudalianchi Volcano Group began from the end of Jurassic to the beginning of Cretaceous. According to historical records, the latest volcanic eruption began in 17 19 (fifty-eight years of Kangxi in Qing Dynasty), and the record in Heilongjiang Notes in Qing Dynasty is more detailed: "In the southeast of Morgan, one day there was a sudden underground fire, and stones soared and shook the fields. After several days, the fire went out and the land became a pond. That was the fifty-eighth year of Kangxi. " This volcanic eruption blocked the Baihe River, a tributary of the former Namo River, forcing its riverbed to move eastward. The river was blocked to form five lakes running through the Shilong River and became a string of rosary beads.
The lake in Wudalianchi is clear, looking from the top of the nearby volcano, like a mirror, reflecting the sky and clouds, which is beautiful.
Jingbo Lake in Heilongjiang Province is a typical lava dammed lake with an area of about 90.3km2. It is formed by Quaternary basalt flow near Diaoshuilou, with a width of 40m and a height of 12m, which intercepts the outlet of Mudanjiang and raises the water level. Jingbo Lake is surrounded by mountains, with dense forests and beautiful scenery. There are not only crater forests, karst caves and the remains of the Bohai Sea in the Tang Dynasty, but also "eight scenic spots" such as big arc mountain, small arc mountain, Pearl Gate, Diaoshuilou Waterfall and Jingbo Lake, making it a famous tourist lake in China.
The "dammed lake" formed by Wenchuan earthquake
On May 2, 2008, 12, the Wenchuan earthquake in Sichuan caused some areas of Beichuan to be submerged by the dammed lake, and the earthquake formed a large area of dammed lake. The Wenchuan earthquake in Sichuan caused 34 dangerous areas of dammed lakes. The Ministry of Water Resources and the Sichuan Provincial Water Resources Department have formed the Ministry of Water Resources for earthquake relief, and believe that the 33 dammed lakes formed by the earthquake are not dangerous at present. And organized a "death squad" to monitor every dammed lake for 24 hours. Once there are signs of dam break, an early warning will be issued immediately to evacuate the masses in time.
Once the dammed lake formed in the disaster area breaks its banks, the consequences will be serious. With the continuous occurrence of secondary disasters, the water level of the dammed lake may rise rapidly, and a big flood may occur at any time. Once the dammed lake breaks, it will form a flood peak downstream, which is as destructive as a disaster.
