Instructions for going to Vietnam

First, the visa notice:

According to the Agreement on Mutual Visa Waiver between China and Vietnam on March 1992, Vietnamese citizens holding valid ordinary passports for diplomatic, official and business purposes and their accompanying persons using the same passport are exempt from visas when entering, leaving or transiting Vietnam. The stay period is 30 days. If an extension is needed, an application must be made by the Vietnamese reception unit and handled at the Exit-Entry Administration of the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam.

China citizens with valid ordinary passports must apply for visas in advance to enter, leave or transit Vietnam. The Vietnamese Embassy in China and Consulate General in Guangzhou, Nanning, Kunming and Hongkong can issue visas to China citizens. There are two kinds of visas: tourist visa and business visa. China citizens can go to the embassy or consulate in person or entrust a travel company to handle it.

In recent years, with the increasingly frequent personnel exchanges between the two countries, the intermarriage between Chinese and Vietnamese citizens has also increased. Chinese citizens who want to get married more and more should go through the following procedures according to Vietnam's foreign-related marriage law: (1) notarization of birth and unmarried at the place of birth, or notarization of unmarried declaration directly at the embassy or consulate in Vietnam. (two) the birth and unmarried notarization should be certified by the Department of Consular Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China and embassies and consulates in China. (3) Go to embassies and consulates in China, Viet Nam to apply for a notarial certificate without objection. (four) to the Vietnamese marriage registration authority-the judicial department to register with the Vietnamese.

IX. Climate and natural disasters:

Vietnam is located in the east of Indo-China Peninsula, south of the Tropic of Cancer, with a tropical monsoon climate, high temperature and rainy weather, with an annual average temperature of about 24 degrees and an annual average precipitation of1800-2000 mm. Northern Vietnam is divided into four seasons: spring, summer, autumn and winter. The annual average temperature is 23-25 degrees, and the climate is dry and foggy. In the north, it often rains continuously from June to March. There is a clear distinction between rainy season and dry season in the south. In most areas, May to 10 is the rainy season, with heavy rain to heavy rain. 165438+ 10 to April of the following year is the dry season.

Every July to 165438+ 10 is the typhoon season in Vietnam, and some coastal cities such as Haiphong and Da Nang are seriously affected by typhoons. Floods occur every year in the rainy season in the southern Mekong Delta, which has a serious impact on the production and life of local people. Every year from May to August in central Vietnam, there is a dry and hot inland (Laos wind) blowing from the west. Wherever this hot air goes, the temperature can rise to 40 degrees, which has become a local disaster.

X. Nationality policy:

The Vietnamese Nationality Law stipulates that the Vietnamese government does not recognize dual nationality. Citizens of other countries who join Vietnamese nationality must withdraw from their original nationality, and Vietnamese citizens who join other nationalities lose Vietnamese nationality.

Eleven, other issues that should be paid attention to:

1. Vietnamese law stipulates that foreign citizens are not allowed to engage in retail activities in Vietnam.

2. According to Vietnamese laws and regulations, foreign citizens who intend to work in Vietnam for a long time must first apply to the Vietnamese labor department for a labor permit. When applying for a labor permit, foreign citizens must provide proof that they have not been subjected to criminal punishment during their stay in their country of nationality. In view of this, it is suggested that those who intend to work in Vietnam for a long time should first complete the notarial certificate certified by the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or the foreign affairs office of the people's government of a province (city) or autonomous region authorized by it, as well as the notarial certificate that the Vietnamese embassy in China and the consulates general in Guangzhou, Nanning, Kunming and Hong Kong have not been criminally punished before going abroad.
